Hampton Inn Virginia Beach-Oceanfront North

Nice hotel with oceanfront views. Few things that I would like the hotel to look at: 1.) balcony is always wet from the ac condenser, slippery for little ones and inconvenient entering the room and to the balcony. 2.) the sink under rims was dirty with black residues falling out. 3.) the hooks in the bathroom was coming out of the walls so we couldn’t use that. We did enjoy our stay. The breakfast was a plus! The staff all were friendly.

Very clean hotel. Everything was wonderful. Good breakfast, and comfortable beds. The staff was beyond friendly. They felt like family. I needed medicine late at night one night for a headache, and they had Tylenol very reasonably priced along with everything else you may need in the lobby! Pool was nice and clean. Easy access with your key card to come in the side door. Takes you straight to the elevator.

The good: ocean view, lg bathroom, nice room. The bad: On day 2 of 2 night stay, we paid for a 3rd night and desk agent said we need to get new key in morning. Next morning received text that we had to get out of the room, put luggage in cart and check back in to a different room in the afternoon. I talked to desk who said I had to leave room. Manager said same thing. I told her, I paid and have contract for my room, have 2 young children and I'm not leaving. She said it was for our own good because teenagers were coming to our floor? Anyway, she caved. Learn management 101 please! #2 breakfast: clientele love the free breakfast here, so it's crowded and chaotic from the start. Not relaxing. Reviews seem too high for this place, which I think are based on free breakfast.

They have a lot roach in the rooms our room was infested with roach my family and I we have a terrible time in this hotel it was nasty

Great service only complaint was the sofa bed needs replacement my kids slept there you could feel the springs on the matress

Perfect location and view for our 2 night stay. jackalope event was set up on the beach in front of us. The restaurant on site was good and very friendly. The room was clean, looks as if recently renovated, we were happy with our stay and would stay there again. The only con and it is a personal preference is the indoor pool. It was very clean and the kids enjoyed it however prefer outdoor. I thought I would check it out. Overall great stay and recommend your stay here.

Room was spacious for my family, on the first day there had to have our comforter on our bed changed due to it having an odor. The staff was friendly to change it and with getting us extra towels and taking our take out garbage for us. The front desk checked in regularly to make sure our stay was great.

Perfect mini getaway with my family! Pet friendly & a great location! Safe, family-friendly & quiet. My kids are loud & our new puppy came with us. I loved that we were able to be on the 8th floor, with ocean views. It was perfect!

We stay here every Thanksgiving while visiting family. The only downside that we saw- and presumably it's temporary- was that one of the two elevators was out of service.

Me, my husband, and toddler daughter stayed here in early September 2023 for a couple nights. I think the hotel was a great place to stay. The hotel staff was always friendly. The only thing we needed was extra towels and all we had to do was call the front desk and they brought them immediately instead of waiting on busy housekeeping. It’s a very nicely updated hotel with a great continental breakfast from 7-10am. Parking was great, not super cramped like other beach hotels. There was music outside until later but we slept great on the 7th floor and never heard the loud music unless we were on our balcony. The hotel doesn’t have an outside shower to wash all the sand off of you which would have been great. We noticed one in like a general beach area but not many from what we noticed walking the boardwalk. There also was just a tiny pool inside and there wasn’t an outdoor pool but many beach front hotels didn’t have an outside one. All in all we had a great experience staying at this hotel and it was a good price for how clean and updated it is.
