Courtyard by Marriott Virginia Beach Oceanfront/North 37th Street

From the moment we walked through the door we felt welcomed. Tyler greeted us with a smile and awesome energy. The rooms were amazing and every member of the staff greeted us in the hallway with a smile. My family has stayed in a lot of hotels in Virginia Beach and this is at the top of our list from now on. Thank you for such a great experience and being above the rest

Very family friendly and super friendly staff. AC worked great and hot water ran all day long. Great food options walking distance and kids loved the pool.

Went with 2 young kids which the pool outside was great indoor pool looked like it could have been cleaned better so we stayed out of it. Right on the board walk with a great view from the room, however the room itself is very basic but for my entire stay we had issues with our key then on the last day we noticed our door opened without a key.

Was fun for our family. Staff was helpful and courteous.

I really wish I could give more stars on this one. We had no issues at check in, we came with two families and were able to get on the same floor. The outside pool was nice, but the water was ice cold. The view was amazing. Parking was close but you had to pay. The biggest issue that I can't get around was the elevator. One of them broke right when we got there. That means everyone was crammed in one slow elevator. On the 4th floor it wasn't that bad but if we were higher I would have left and requested a refund. The stairwell we had to use was bad. The picture doesn't do it justice. When I checked out the front desk asked about my stay and when I told her about my concerns she didn’t have much to say or offer. Then there was the mold in the bathroom and the $17 hotel breakfast that's normally free when you travel anywhere else. It's literally the same food. For the thousands of dollars we spent at this place, I would have expected a little more. There’s plenty of options in this area so I won’t be back here.

convenient, clean, good for kids. Wish the outdoor pool was open and that onsite dining options were more extensive and less expensive but overall a nice place to stay

Had to change plans at the last minute and the folks at the front desk were so very helpful and accommodating. We had to cancel one room due to illness and that left one family member and one room left on the reservation and they kindly let him into his room early. Just so kind. I’ve always found Marriott staff helpful, and they came through with shining colors once again.

Everything about the hotel was as advertised, and it was a perfect stay for the family. Very nice outdoor pool with a walk up bar with specials and good food. All the staff I dealt with were friendly and professional. Room was immaculate and when they say oversized they mean it’s a big room. Last year we did myrtle beach and stayed at more of a resort with lazy rivers and water slides, an arcade and spa. I like the myrtle beach strip more than Virginia Beach but that’s not the hotels fault. If I were to do Virginia Beach again I wouldn’t even check out another hotel.

I stayed in an ocean view room. The room was clean and comfortable.And I could see beautiful sunrise.My family really enjoyed at this hotel.

The pools are awesome, the beach access is easy, the balcony views are gorgeous, and the staff was super nice. The rooms are just a touch dated and there are only 2 elevators which can create a bit of wait on occasion, but those issues are not enough to keep our family from returning!
