Alamo Inn & Suites Downtown

Just what we were looking for, comfortable, simple, clean. Nearby overnight stay to attend bowl game. Really like the friendliness of a family owned business. That being said, the new refurbished rooms are nice, beds are comfy, however there are small signs that attention to regular maintenance needs to be a priority or the freshness might soon wear off.

The room has space, so you dont feel all piled up. I had kids with me so i didnt really like that they didn't have a tub, when i tried to give them a bath.

I took a trip to San Antonio for a quick break from my busy life. I checked in and was greeted with a person with a 😕 on his face not a smile, no pleasant interaction at all very robotic and unpleasant. I got my room and having driven over 2 hours all I wanted to do was to take a hot shower put on clean clothes lay down. Well there was no hot water. I went to front desk since no phone contact available. The front desk clerk came back to my room and verified no hot water he then left. No apologies no solution nothing I took my 80 degree shower and laid down noticing the curtains didn’t overlap enough allowing a lot of afternoon light in I did my best. All good till I was awakened by loud door closing and children. I saw the front desk clerk again and said “ a simple I apologize and follow up, and some token for the inconvenience would have been nice he got loud I waived him off and went to get a meal! In the morning woke up took a shower apparently they turned up the way temperature (not letting me know) I’ll never stay here again even at half the cost!! Only saw a couple roaches in my room,
