Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott San Antonio Alamo Plaza/Convention Center

On our 6,700 mile road trip this was by far our worst experience. Upon driving into the hotel there were homeless people all over the place which made us feel unsafe and uncomfortable. We had to drive around the block 5 times to figure out how to get into our hotel because the entrance is on the street it was filled with vehicles and there is no where to park on the street to check in and then there is still no where to park unless you pay their parking fee or choose a public lot with all vagrants running around, no thanks. Upon review of my dash cam that records the activities everytime my car is moved or touched, it appears my car stayed in the front lobby the entire night until the morning when it got moved so I paid to park but it never got into their parking lot until 8am. Either their lot was full or people didn’t want to work. The room was okay, it was a place to sleep. The room did not blow us away with the wow factor that would make us want to come back to this city or this hotel. The front desk attendant though was super friendly and helpful and he did his job efficiently and effectively. The guests that were there that evening at a night club left a lot to be desired for my child who was with us and it was just terrible stay in general. It is convenient to the Alamo which is why we stayed. However that was the only advantage.

This past weekend, our stay was a great experience. Starting with valet to check-in/check-out to friendly house keeping. I had a great experience with my family. Breakfast was also delicious.

Beautiful location with great amenities! Walking distance to historial San Antonio and family friendly.

As soon as I walked in Hotel quick check in, staff was Great. Valet parking $32 doll night but they were Excellent. No issues. Breakfast was Delicious it varies day to day. Hot and tasty. Pool was very refreshing for my kids. Drinks were available at bar window next to Pool my husband happy. Safe area to walk around hotel. Everything was at a walking distance. RiverCenter Mall shops around the corner, Alamo 4 minute walk. It was an Excellent stay Bed was Soft Comfortable the only But for me was the Pillows. They were flat not Comfy. But if they upgrade them it’s a Five Star Hotel ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ My Window was showing the RiverCenter Mall that’s how near we were.

The room was very clean. However, could not sleep because of the LOUD music from a bar across the street. The walls were vibrating from the music. It finally subsided after 1:00 am. And there was a baby in the next room who cried for 20 minutes around 3:09 am. Did not get very much rest because of all the noise. Sooo, not a very pleasant experience

My family and I really enjoyed our stay. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
