Honestly the best hotel experience I’ve ever had! We have attempted a stay at the Crocket previously but there was a family emergency so we had to leave early. So glad we got to do it for our honeymoon! 10/10 will stay here again. Beautiful hotel and amazing customer service!

The location was amazing, the is Alamo right across the street, and the Riverwalk a short distance away. With limited parking in the area, the hotel valet parking was convenient as we walked everywhere. The room was large and the bed very comfortable. The only slight down side was the noise from the air system. Took a few minutes to get used to, then we slept like a baby.

The property and the staff were an excellent value. The room was nice and clean. It was not loud even though it’s next to the Alamo. We had 2 incidents that while not pleasant, will not steer us away from this hotel. We valet parked and someone went through our truck. They left our rear interior dome light on, and it’s a manual switch. We never use that light and have no kids to mess with it. Nothing that we could tell was missing, but I never leave anything of real value in it. We checked out without taking our food from the fridge. We called to come back and get it less than 30 minutes later. We did get our food, which was packaged and in a bag, but when we got home found that someone had eaten the food from 2 of the 3 containers. That was really weird and gross. The manager called me and apologized for the issues and did offer to refund my valet as compensation. I accepted and only hope that whoever ate our food really needed it and enjoyed it.

The hotel is one of the older properties, however the staff & overall ambiance was excellent. I would rebook this room 100 times over. I have stayed at several hotels in the area, this by far was my best experience. The pool is not the best for families or children, it is quite small, and not in the best location. For adults though, I would recommend this hotel, it is right across the street from the mall & the riverwalk is a short walk around the corner. It is also close to Ripleys, & several other attractions all walking distance. Parking is valet only, but the service is quick & efficient. There is live music at the bar, and drink specials are offered. Staff is so kind and accommodating, and the AC was like no other in the area.

We loved staying here. Our kids thought it was so cool & wanted to read all of the signs. We’d totally stay here again.

We love the Crockett (have stayed there many times in the past) and the new renovations are really nice. However, the music in the restaurant was deafening during dinner...and for most of the night, we could hear the live music and then the server's music until well after 1:30 a.m. (Our stay was Friday night after Thanksgiving.) Very disturbing when you are trying to sleep. Our family had rooms on the second, fourth, and sixth floors and only those on the sixth floor got any sleep. Also, there is no breakfast and a cup of hot tea in the coffee ship was $4.06. Seems way overpriced and I'm disappointed in the lack of breakfast options. Parking is also pricey, at $40 per night. The Crockett is in a great location and I guess they are capitalizing on that, but there are now lots of other equally nice and more affordable hotels in the same area.

The only thing we liked was the location. The sheets were old and scratchy. The room was dingy and outdated. The hallway smelled bad. The daily parking was much higher than much better rated hotels nearby. And the noise from the parking lot was unrestful at night. The high dog friendly charge should have been a deposit… our 3-pound chihuahua made no noise or mess. Not that our room was clean anyway. We stay in San Antonio 1-2 times a year for a fun little family vacation getaway, but we will never stay at the Crockett Hotel ever again.

We had a wonderful stay! We enjoyed the beautifully landscaped pool as a family to refresh. Centrally located near the Alamo and the Riverwalk, it allowed us easy access to the downtown areas. One downside was that our room faced the parking lot where they used car alarms AT ALL HOURS to locate customers’ cars. When I brought it to the attention of the front desk, they laughed and said that’s just how they locate cars—they DEFINITELY need to come up with a new system!

The people were very friendly and helpful. It was a fun experience looking out over the Alamo. The hotel was just kinda tired. The shower did not work well and wouldn’t drain. The tv was near impossible to use. The pool area is right next to the parking and does not have a hot tub. The beds were very bad, like sleeping on a sofa bed. Everyone in our group had a hard time sleeping on the beds. They had a Starbucks on site with very limited choices. I would not say this is a family friendly hotel. The valet is very expensive with limited safe parking in the area there were not great options. The valet was $35 per day.
