Hilton Garden Inn San Antonio Downtown Riverwalk

From a scale 1-10 cleanliness was a 9 very clean. Service not so good, not very friendly or family oriented.

Great stay! Family friendly breakfast buffet that was hot and fast for our hungry one year old. Made to order omlettes were delicious! Waitress was so nice to our little ones at breakfast; housekeeping made up the bed and even put our little elmo we brought in the middle of the bed as a surprise! Very sweet! Parking service was fast and helped us load everything it was great! We were able to walk everywhere with our stroller. I highly recommend!

Hello, the reason for my poor rating is for 2 reasons: 1. The date was the wrong night on Expedia online. I did correct the dates a number of times however when the credit card payment was made the dates were different than the ones I selected. I tried to have you support team adjust the dates as I could at least use the room on Monday 27/05/2024 2. I was told by your support team the Hotel wouldn't allow a date change even though they had a spare room for 27/05/2024. Your team said my booking was nonrefundable if tried to change dates, so $500 AUD wasted as I could use the booking with new dates. Very disappointed and will be not using Expedia or Hilton again. I travel a lot and have a large extended family who I'll share my experience with. Your support team were very unhelpful giving me difference answers across 3 different support people, this is all recorded in you chat records. This experience was very stressful and feels like I have been ripped off buy a dodgy 3rd rate scam company.

Rooms were a bit small for a family of 4 but were clean and service was friendly and helpful. Location was perfect, close to River walk and Alamo.

I loved that it was so easy to get to and the location was so close to the Riverwalk and other shops/restaurants. The valet was also prompt and accommodating. My family and I would stay there again.

As a woman alone with 3 kids, I felt very safe. It was in a good area and the riverwalk is very close. Staff was all very nice. Would definitely stay here again

Hotel is in an excellent location. Few mins walk to the Riverwalk and great restaurants. Panaderia is an awesome bakery nearby. The hotel parking is insanely expensive ( $42+tax) though. We found another parking garage a few blocks away for the 2nd night. Will definitely recommend staying here if you wanna be close to the Riverwalk, downtown, comfortable for families.

Location was good (not on the Riverwalk, but very close and within walking distance). Check in was easy and the room was clean. My kids enjoyed the pool, and the view was nice. My only complaint was valet... it took 50 minutes to get our vehicle!

location was good and staff were friendly, but the bed was so hard and uncomfortable that I couldn’t sleep at all for the three nights I was there. The rooms with one king bed were extremely small. Rooftop pool was fun but was overrun by kids the whole time because it was rather small. Not sure what the hotel can do about that, but it’s something to be aware of if you’re hoping for a more quiet or romantic experience. Valet parking is far overpriced but seems to be common for the area, you’re better off parking in the public garage one block away for only $10 a day, including overnight.

Pillows were feather, hard, not my preference. Mattress was awful, not up to standards of most other hotels. Almost everyone in our large family with 2 rooms complained about them. No free breakfast & the one offered was very pricey. No bueno. Our sink didnt drain well, had to ask for more toilet paper, tissue, coffee, etc. The only bright spot was that the people who worked there were very nice & came quickly with new supplies when we ran out. But...we shouldnt have run out & no maids to replace items each day. Overall, we would not stay here again.
