Canopy by Hilton San Antonio Riverwalk

A nice hotel by the river walk. Excellent costomer service at check-in. I was offered drinks, like water, beer, and apple juice for my little ones. They even got some gummies. Room was super clean, restroom clean. Nothing bad to say about the place. The only time I did not like it was when I went to the restaurant and my waiter Ariel was not as nice, we only ordered coffee but just the way he served us was very rude, even when I askes to bring more creamer for the coffee he literally told me I still had some on my table. We were a group of 4 and coffee was strong so I wanted more creamer. Coffee was not even HOT just warm and the adding creamer it got cold. That was the only thing I did not like. But the Hotel stay was perfect!

The staff were very courteous. Loved the overall cleanliness of the property. Domingo restaurant served a delicious dinner. Requested connecting rooms this was honored, very convenient with kids. Room 808's cooler had mold. Parking was $60 with tax. No pool( this was not an issue as we only stayed a night and we were aware prior to booking, however important for families with kids to know) Overall my family and I enjoyed our stay.

The staff was great! Would recommend family and friends to say here.

I was very displeased with this property from check in to check out there were issues. The lobby consists of a long bench type sofa on a wall. There is no where comfortable to wait on your party or a bar in lobby for a drink. There is not a convenient place to park. Parking is a block away. Not even a snack bar to get a soda. The only good part of the stay was the valet. The front desk hung up on me 3x when trying to contact them. Found out that the phone did not work properly in the room. The room was spacious but the rug was filthy. It took 2 hours to get a remote for the TV. The only restaurant in the hotel was in the basement on the Riverwalk and had a very limited menu. This hotel is NOT kid friendly. We did not have small children with us but it would not be a good choice.

It was the perfect place for my family the stores was in walking distance and the food rooms bar was a dream come true. We will be back.

We were here for our babymoon and they went above and beyond to make us feel special. They left snacks and a bottle of sparkling wine and a sweet note. Our room was amazing. The location is perfect!

We booked a night at Canopy after our original hotel with Holiday Inn was disgusting and scary. As soon as we walked into the lobby at Canopy I knew it would be great. The air was fresh and clean, the front desk staff were very sweet, professional and accommodating. Our room was very clean and cozy. I am very weird about germs but I felt comfortable the entire time we were in any part of the hotel. I loved the shower (clean and beautiful!) The Nespresso machine in the coffee bar was a great touch! All of the shampoo/conditioner/body wash and lotion were matching scents of lemon and aloe which was also a perk. This hotel is quiet! I heard ONE sound the entire time we were there. It was fully booked but we rarely saw anyone in the hallways and really felt like we had the whole floor to ourselves. The 3rd floor was a great place to hang out, complete with a great view and even a foosball table that our kids loved. The hotel restaurant, Domingo, was delicious and had great views of the Riverwalk. Overall, this was the best hotel experience my husband and I have ever had. In the past we saw a hotel as just a place to sleep and touch base during a trip. We learned that when you have a LOVELY place to stay, the trip is greatly enhanced! Before we had even left, we were planning a romantic getaway for just the two of us at Canopy on the Riverwalk. I could not be happier! TLDR: Great location, very clean, great customer service, don't think twice-book a room now!!

Room and restaurant was great. Love the view. What I didn’t like? Getting my truck back from valet and it smelled like weed, sunroof was open (I rarely do that), and passenger seat was fully reclined back like the valet kids hung out in it.

Mixed feelings about this property. The hotel itself is beautiful. Very well decorated- rooms, lobby, restaurant- its all beautiful. The style was what sold me on booking this property. Unfortunately I dont think its good for a family stay. The drawbacks: Our room looked directly onto the construction for a building next door. I understand the construction isnt the hotel’s fault, but it was extremely noisy. The clerk at check-in even made the comment “hopefully the noise wont bother you”. Eh, it was bad. Especially traveling as a family with a child who still naps. Second, the bed is beyond firm. And pillows immediately go flat. I woke up the first morning and could not turn my head I was in so much pain. The good: Restaurant has nice outside area, probably the prettiest on the riverwalk. Dinner was great. Breakfast, which we decided to go to since we had such a great dinner, was lacking. We wanted a churro waffle, apparently a pretty popular menu choice, waiter told us they had one left And needed to order more so they were not serving it. Kinda stinks they dont make them or have plenty available. Otro bar is set up a few floors high and again is super beautiful, but no one under 21 can be out there. Location on the Riverwalk is nice, not in the middle of the hustle and bustle but not too far away either. My husband ended up talking to reception before we left and they acknowledged our concerns.

The manager and staff was very friendly and did an amazing job of making my family welcome. Even with our little mix up on dates the mama get was able to get us rooms for our stay.
