When we reached the hotel there was no power, and the rude lady on the reception failed to accommodate us. I understand computers were down but we had multiple kids including one year old. After check-in, found one of the rooms was not clean. Substitute room was given but at that point already lost half of our day. Request to Hilton: please use separate dishes for vegetarian and non-vegetarian items. Should be common sense. Not happy!

Our child is an incoming freshman at RIT and this is our third stay at this location this past year as we visited the campus and met with people. This location has comfortable beds, is clean, has a good breakfast and great staff. Since we live far from Rochester, this will continue to be the place we stay.

The hotel itself is great. Clean, nicely decorated, very good breakfast. Only thing is it is there for sleeping and technically we did not get to do much of that. Not really the hotel's fault but it kinda ruined our trip nonetheless. The first night in the middle of the night the power went out and when it went back on everything beeped and made noises and woke us up. The second night was even worse. At around midnight my kids noticed water dripping in through the ceiling. They had to move rooms and then I did as well (we had 2 rooms adjoining). The unit above went out not realizing their toilet was overflowing. Moving rooms (no longer adjoining) was quite a chore and then calming down and going to sleep was difficult to say the least. I had to drive home the next morning and much coffee was needed as I was exhausted. Other than moving us, the hotel said nothing which was also disappointing.

Pulling up to the hotel is less than Steller, the parking lot was littered with trash, and it looked desolate. The lobby is pretty, staff interactions were fine, though after check in they never interacted with us again. The room was sub par; I noticed stray hairs throughout the bathroom, mysterious brown splatters on the wall of the bedroom, a pair of clean and folded underwear tucked away in the closet, grime build up around the sink (which only had one temperature: extremely hot). It is clear that not much effort is put into the cleaning here. The sliding bathroom door was off track, leaving my toddler to constantly slam his fingers in it, so that was fun. The breakfast the following morning was the icing on the cake though. We came in at a respectable 830 to it being completely empty. There was almost no food options, despite there being almost nobody there, there was empty containers everywhere, water where juice was expected. We cobbled together the most mediocre breakfast just to get on the road, and FYI, for grab and go options there was only fruit, which was a large bunch of aggressively green bananas. They did have crayons and coloring pages out though, which my youngest appreciated. There is so much room for improvement.

Looks like there was very limited staff working. On our arrival we took the kids swimming and the pool water was green. I mentioned it to the front desk person and the next day it was closed. We wanted more towels on the second day of our stay but there was No front desk person for a long time (there was a sign saying they would be right back). The room was clean and good. Hallways and elevators smelled like marijuana on multiple occasions. Breakfast was good and the breakfast lady was very nice. She put cartoons on for our kids and ensured we had everything we need. Location was good (shopping area nearby). 12 minutes to downtown Rochester.

A friend and I stayed at this hotel as I was having surgery early in the morning on a Tuesday so we stayed Monday night and the night after surgery. Monday night was fine. We left early in the morning to go to Highland hospital, anticipating after surgery to return to a refreshed room with fresh washcloths and towels. Well when we did return the bed was unmade and the dirty towels and washcloths still lying on the floor in the bathroom. The next morning we called for clean towels and washcloths we were told to come get them ourselves. The front desk clerk apparently preferred to be on her cellphone. My family and I have stayed at Hampton Inn for years. This time extremely disappointing.

Cannot possibly recommend staying here. Although the hotel itself is very clean, our room wasn’t. The sheets were dirty and covered with dog hair when we checked in and there were no backup sheet sets available. Housekeeping searched for an hour before we finally had to take them from another room. The pool, which is a major attraction when you are traveling with kids, looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in weeks - it’s a five foot pool and you cannot see the bottom the water is so dingy.

The pool was closed which is the main reason we booked this for this kids. The outside of the building was coming down in pieces and have road cones all around it. The rooms had what looked to be blood stains all over the carpet. The room was falling apart and stained all over. The bed was yellow from the box springs up. We checked in at 3:30pm and out by 8pm because it was so gross.

The site pictures and description made us believe there was a hot tub in the pool area just like at other Hamton Inns weve stayed at. There was not. Only a pool which was enjoyable for about a half hour until somwonw came in qith akmw teens who thought it was a good idea to jump in over and over seemingly getting closer and closer to the smal area my husband and i were in. And then aboit 6 more kids showed up from outside (clearly invited there by the party already in pool) who took there coats and PANTS off to swim in their boxers. Very inappropriate. Our room looked as if it was not cleaned at all. Had to have the front desk give me disinfectant wipes to do it myself. Hair on the bed, pillow cases and all over bathroom. Pillow cases smelled like sweat and when we pulled the sheets back to "check" the bed....the matress was stained yellow in many places. Pubic hair on the bathroom floor and on side of spa tub (which was a fair trade off since there wasnt a hot tub in pool area). Looked like our room had been used for a party. Glitter stuck into the rug, tape left up on the ceiling and door frames. Overall just a mess. First night the fire alarm went off while we were asleep around 11pm and we were told to exit our room and get downstairs. When fire department came we had to exit the lobby. Thank goodness the parking is close so we were able to sit in our truck and wait. We were allowed back in within 15 minutes. Turns out someone was smoking! Such an inconvenience.
