Wingate by Wyndham Gurnee

Nice place for family. Strategic place for work in differents areas.

My family of 4 stayed at Wingate by Wyndham Gurnee. The trip was great and the hotel even more. Axiria at the front desk is super nice and gave us anything we needed including information of Gurnee. The other staff were great as well including the misunderstanding of not receiving housekeeping services. The staff right away provided us with new towels and toiletries. The last day the breakfast was given late bc of an emergency but they still cooked it and tasted great. The pool was clean, a little cold but awesome to use. We really enjoyed that at walking distance we were able to go to Gurnee Mills mall. Overall the stay was excellent and more than expected. A+

Front desk staff was very friendly and attentive. They had ideas, offered plates and stuff for pizza, they offered anything they could to help rather than just answering questions. This was an amazing 1st impression and i felt they actually cared for their guests rather than just having a job. Room was very clean and in working order. Spacious rooms. Pool area was smaller, but very well kept up, kids loved it. 2.5-4ft deep. Breakfast was good, waffles are pre-made and ready for toaster, breakfast attendant was very friendly as well and on top of keeping everything perfect. Very accommodating service. Everyone in hotel from staff to guests was super kind, very "home away from home" vibe. Fresh lemon water available and coffeemate pump creamer for coffee. Across the street from the mall, which was perfect for our stay!! Only noted drawbacks, but didnt effect stay, just fyi: - no freezer portion in mini fridge - no hot tub by pool area - all amenities on 1st floor (ice, vending etc)

The staff has consistently exceeded my expectations and is really fantastic. The breakfast is delicious and always well stocked. The location is great, especially because it's near our family but also because it's across the street from Gurnee Mills mall. It's probably the fifth or sixth time we've stayed at the property.

Everything about our stay was excellent. We were greeted immediately as we entered the hotel and got checked in quickly by the very friendly front desk staff. Our room was clean, comfortable and very spacious and the breakfast each morning had plenty of tasty options to please everyone in our group. The hotel was very conveniently located in a safe area near tons of restaurants, shopping centers and family attractions like Six Flags and Great Wolf Lodge. Our family had a great trip and we now know where we will be staying when we return to the area.

The second floor hallway is pretty dark and dirty and smells bad. I almost turned around without goiygo my room. Reminds me of a month to month rental place where people stay too long and gross the place up. Not sure if they do long term stays here. Anyway when I got to the room it was ok. Nothing fancy but in good shape and clean. The shower had good pressure but the sink was terrible. Like a trickle. The bed was actually really comfortable. There were kids running up and down the hallway as their entertainment at 10pm for a good 20 minutes. Would not stay here again.

I wouldn’t say there was anything unique about the property but the staff was very welcoming and approachable. They accommodated my family’s request to have all of our rooms next to each other. There were no issues with the room. I have no complaints about this property.

My family stayed over the weekend and had a great experience. The staff was very friendly and thoughtful knowing we had kids put us in a room near the pool for easy access. The woman making the breakfast was so nice as well interacting with my kids. I’d say the only down part was the beds especially the pillows were not very comfortable but I would happily stay here again just based on the great customer service we had everything was clean the heated pool was actually warmer compared to others, so overall a great stay

Our reason for staying was taking kids to Six Flags, hotel was just down the road & next to a mall. Room was spacious for the 4 of us. Staff was friendly upon entering & let us know of their eco options regarding housekeeping & towel use. I liked not having to worry about housekeeping coming in, or rom tends to look a mess haha Breakfast could have been better but it worked well instead of going out.
