Hampton Inn & Suites Chicago Waukegan

The swimming pool was so good, my kids liked it.

For two days we stayed there, breakfast service was horrible. There were long lines of guests waiting for food. The chef brought out a handful of omelettes that were only enough for the first five people in the line. The chef would then disappear behind closed doors only to show up with a handful of boiled potatoes 45 minutes later. My family and I and many other guests never got a chance to eat anything for breakfast at the hotel but instead had to drive to some nearby restaurant for service.

It was very close to family we were visiting! Everything was decent but it might be time for an upgrade

Allowed early check in when we arrived into town earlier than expected. Accommodating for family needs. Quiet.

It was a nice stay! I am not sure if every room has it, but I’m not a fan of the joint room doors. Our neighbors were not the quietest. As a local, it’s a good place for military families coming for navy graduation. You have good food options, or take a drive to neighbor cities, gurnee or Vernon hills, for more shopping/food options.

Overall the property is nice and clean.During my stay the elevators were down as well as the pool.My first night stay was great.The next day was the worst experience I’ve had at any hotel I’ve ever visited.There were teenagers at the hotel having a party.There was loud music being played doors slamming continuously.The smell of marijuana could be smelled as soon as I opened my room door.I made a complaint to management.In which didn’t do anything to resolve the issue.I eventually went to the front desk to see if I could receive a refund.I was told no and that I needed to leave the property that I was trespassing all said by Hannah Johnson who is the general manager.The time was 11pm I was with my two young children.I live over an hour away from where the hotel is located.I contacted corporate the very next day.

I am giving the hotel major props despite Expedia's failures. The gentleman who checked us in was very friendly and more than helpful. The room was beautiful, small stain on the desk chair but I can look past that. The breakfast was very tasty, we offered to clean up our 13 month old babies breakfast mess every morning and we were told by the lady at the desk (with a great smile) that we shouldnt have to worry about it. I still kinda feel bad about that. We never got housekeeping because we left the "do not disturb" sign on the door for the entirety of our stay butthey definitely had a presence and were definitely working hard. The pool was a little cold but very clean. We normally hit the pool in the morning so the pool was a nice brisk extra wake up after breakfast. I really cant say anything bad about the hotel itself. The area is fairly undeveloped but you can tell they're working on building it up. Anything you could ever want or need is within a 5 minutes drive, and its right off the highway. Great stay at a great hotel!

Room is stark but clean and comfortable. Front desk apparently gave my room to someone with a similar name and i unlocked the door and found a man in the room. Front desk took awhile to figure it out but gave us another room. On our last night there we were trying to sleep for a 5am wakeup to go to airport and someone in the room above us had kids creating havoc until i called the front desk at 11:40pm and they said they would check on it. 15 minutes later that room finally quieted down and we got a few hours sleep.

Noise over my head all day and night from a child I reported it to the front desk but nothing happened
