Holiday Inn Express & Suites Waukegan, an IHG Hotel

Check in was easy and quick. Breakfast had a variety of choices and kids loved it.

Best Hotel we ever stayed at. Plenty of space for a family of 5-6. They have all amenities we wanted. The convenience of shops and restaurants in walking distance. I would book again.

My family of 3 enjoyed the stay. We went to 6 flags, and just slept for one night. The room was clean, bathroom looks newly renovated (although there are marks and chips on the vanity… maybe caused by other past customers), check-in was easy, 10 min drive from 6 flags, close to many restaurants and shops. We had no complaints!

My husband and I booked 2 rooms for 4 nights. We booked it for us and for my in laws. We were there for my little bil's navy graduation and to spend some time with him before he leaves. Anyway, the day we checked in the receptionist gave us our cards for 1 room, and my husband and I left to go grab our stuff from the car. We were tired from the car ride and totally forgot about the other set of cards for the second room, and the receptionist didn't even stop us from walking out the door. There wasn't anyone else checking in other than us I think, but we didn't quite like how she left us hanging like that. The guests that stayed by the side door entrance, I'm assuming, smoked a lot of weed or something. It really wasn't a pleasant smell and we had kids. I know bugs/insects can be anywhere, but our room had ants. They had breakfast everyday which was nice. The service phone in our room didn't seem to work at all. Staying here wasn't the best, but it wasn't the worst either. Would we come back? Probably not. We have stayed at other holiday inns before and they were a lot nicer than here. We do like how there were restaurants and stores around the area, so that was a plus for us. Anyway, our stay was okay.

The elevator was broke kids played over my head all night and was up early knocking on ppl doors

We liked everything. Our room was clean, bed very comfortable, breakfast great. Coffee and food hot and fresh . It was so convenient to Walmart and many other eating establishments. Near the navy recruit center. There was a Bowling alley through adjoining parking lot. Great for family fun!! It was all just perfect!!

My stay at this hotel for my son’s Naval graduation turned out to be such a blessing! Jill, Ann and Liz all were so helpful to me when the happy occasion turned into a nightmare when after the graduation my mom fell and fractured her hip. A 3 night stay turned i to over a week and the not knowing what I needed to do to take care of my mom at the hospital away from home and away from all our family was a real ordeal made easier by the comfort and care exhibited by the staff. Thank you for making a crazy time be less stressful for me and my mom!!

My son graduated boot camp at Great Lakes, my family stayed here for 5 days and it was a great hotel!!

I would like to commend and compliment Mr. Patrick for his outstanding, excellent service that he provided to me and my family. Because of Patrick’s customer service skills that went above and beyond, I am inviting all of my family and friends to bea part of the Holiday Inn Family. I would definitely come back to visit Holiday Inn express . He made our stay at the hotel a very pleasant and memorable one. my grand children really admired him because of his awesome patience, warm welcoming smile and assistance that he demonstrated! Patrick makes Holiday Inn what is today, a place that feels like home and where I will always come to visit! He deserves to be the employee of the year! Thank you so much Patrick, your the “BEST!”

First time being in this area. Our stay was great. the front desk was really helpful. our kids had a blast. If we are in the area again we will defiantly stay here again.
