Comfort Suites Grayslake near Libertyville North

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel , staff was very helpful, property was super clean , pool was good from kid’s perspective , so if you are ok to drive an hour to downtown this property is probably one of the best option.

This hotel was reserved for the same day as the stay and I was a little concerned after reading the reviews. Some areas of the room could use a few cosmetic repairs, but the 2 queen beds and sofa were enough for us and 3 grandkids. The beds are very firm. The room was large and the linens are soft and clean.

This location is consistently a good experience. I like to take my kids here for short stays. The breakfast is just ok, and the pool is a good size and depth.

Holy Smokes Batman. This property smells like smoke. They got a combination of weed and cigarette smells going on. It’s a non-smoking property supposedly, but the rooms smell like they are regularly smoked in. The front desk worker was kind and came through to spray the floor with air freshener, but that only does so much. To each their own, but I was traveling with 3 kids, one is a newborn. So that experience was not what I wanted them to be in. The property itself is showing its age a bit and it looks like they may be trying to fix some things? The pool is on the smaller side and was over crowded a lot. But still allowed for fun for the kiddos. Breakfast was continental and had good selections. When things got low however, it didn’t look like anything was being refreshed. So if you got there later in the morning, it was slim pickings. The hotel is close to several dash food places, restaurants, and a Walgreens across the street. The entrance to the hotel is odd because if you are coming from the highway, you have to drive past the hotel, do a u turn, then go back the other way. There is only that entrance/exit. Overall, not worth the amount of money we paid, but it was still enough for my family to sleep while we were visiting.

The property was family orientated and quite with great accomodations.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The biggest plus for us was a pool with usable temperatures! So many hotels are like ice water with chemical smells. This hotel had clean pool and hot tub water, no strong chemical smells, and the temperature was nice and comfortable for kids and adults. The hot tub was hot, but not too hot. Our bedroom was a king with full couch. The room was clean and comfortable. There was a refrigerator that was so helpful since we had leftovers from eating at the local restaurant, Dulce Margaritas. The breakfast options were also very good. Scrambled eggs, cheerios, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, and fruit were great for gluten sensitive people. Make it your self strawberry and plain waffles were both available. They even offered chocolate chips which were yummy in the waffles. All that said, we were very please. 1. Large, clean rooms 2. Clean and temperature perfect pool and hot tub 3. Delicious breakfast options for people with diet restrictions Staff was all really friendly as well :)

Bed was comfortable and employees were nice. Room needs some repairs(bath tub faucet is coming off the wall). Employees who take care of the breakfast needs to pay attention to expiration dates(see photo). Also heard kids screaming from other rooms on floor. Spa needs new paint and both spa and pool needs to be cleaned.

It was ok, until we went to the pool, it was dirty, and there were several kids jumping in the pool, which they are not suppose to do. When we walked in there was a table where there was a bottle of wine and it was glass. The hot tub was disgusting, water was brown and around the rim looked like black mold. I wish I had taken pictures but I did not want people to see the pool or hot tub.My kids want to go some where else this Christmas.

We live in the city but came to the area for a funeral that was going to be early the next morning, so we decided to stay the night before as not to get caught up in traffic coming from the city next morning.Enjoyed our overnight stay at this hotel. The staff was very friendly and courteous. Check in was speedy, room was comfortable and clean.Will recommend to my friends and family.

Room looked clean till we showered the tub had a rim of dirt well find out while am showering the water from the tub does not drain properly and the next family member had to wait 15 to 20 minutes for the water do drain completely.
