The Geneva Inn

Check in was fast and the girl at the front desk was super nice. Room was great with a beautiful view of the lake. Bathroom was nice and big and loved the extra counter with a sink and a mini Keurig. Bed was nice but pillows were a little firm for me. For the most part all was good until about 10pm ish when the room next to us had their kids just running and jumping off the bed and all we could hear is the bumping from that until 1130 and at one point they were in the hallway- now we were there off-season in Feb so I guess I didnt really expect to be hearing all that. It was just rude at that time of night and the hotel wasnt fully booked so we were thinking - why would they put a family with kids right next to us when there were plenty of other rooms they could have placed them so they weren't right next to a couple?! Oh well- out of all the nice about the hotel that can def ruin your thoughts. The next morning we went downstairs just to get coffee or something before checkout - beware they dont have many choices -and you pay for everything- which is fine I did know that but my husband drinks regular tea and we couldnt get that- all they had were 4 other flavors- they should really consider just regular black tea as a option not just the 1 kcup in the room. My Latte was great so no complaints there. Overall it really was a nice quaint place and I bet in the summer its even better with that lake view!

This was by far the worst money spent on a nice room. Hotels.com policy is terrible as well .. we had a family death and tried to cancel but non refund from you or the hotel. Then to go anyway so we dont loose our money and try to enjoy our romantic getaway despite death. We extended our stay and they lights went out and they had no backup system in place i have severe asthma and it was terrible. No water. No lights. No toilet. No electricity. No elevators not to mention being on the 3rd floor and having to walk while taking an inhaler every step of the way. I have a nebulizer but no electricity to take a treatment 😢. Still waiting on management to get back to me to compensate me for my stay.
