Check-in was smooth and efficient. The hotel offers on-site parking for an additional $24 per night, which is deducted from your incidentals. On Saturday morning, we decided to try the breakfast buffet at the Tides restaurant inside the hotel. We made our plates and sat down, but when we asked a waitress for some hot tea, she informed us that the buffet was $22 per person—something we hadn't been told earlier. We appreciated her letting us know before we started eating, so we opted to try a local spot called Citrus instead, which was a great choice and well worth the price. After breakfast, we rented a beach Cabana for $84, but when we arrived, another family was already there. They politely moved, but it would be helpful if the hotel provided “Reserved” signs to avoid this issue. Later, a family member was coming to stay in our room for a night, so I called the front desk to ensure they would receive a room key, blankets, and a parking pass upon arrival. Although the staff member assured me these items would be ready, my family member wasn’t given anything, which was disappointing. Additionally, we experienced some technical issues—our room phone wasn’t working properly, so we had to rely on our cell phones to contact the front desk. Despite these minor issues, our stay was enjoyable. The room was spacious, the view was stunning, and the food and drinks at Tides were good. With a few improvements, this hotel could be even better. I would still recommend it.

The room was not ready at guaranteed time, and when it was ready, were not given the booked room. Our family of 6 had to share 2 queen beds.

The hotel provided excellent service and enough space for my family. It was also very clean and family-friendly. Overall, I’d recommend this property to others who want to stay here with their children.

Our first day there was disappointing. We got the room advertised as partial bay view but more like your down the block at the front end of the hotel, not much of a view. The majority of the room was clean, saw dust bunnies and stains on curtains but the sofa bed was disgusting. When we open up the sofa bed, the mattress pad was covered in stains. There was crumbs on the pad, under it, under the mattress, no sheets. Somebody was slacking. The sofa cushions were stained. I did not want my kids to even go near the cushions. I spoke with the front desk about it the next morning and was about to just move to another hotel but Sara made it right and moved us to another room. The room had a better view and was much cleaner. Sofa bed was clean…cushions were still stained. Overall, we did enjoy our stay, if you have ocean front room, the view was amazing and located on the quieter side of VA beach. The beach wasn’t crowded like the hotels by the boardwalk on the eastern side. It was close to some nice restaurants and there’s super market right across the street if you needed anything you couldn’t get at the hotel. We will definitely considered coming back. Thank you Sara at front desk. You saved our family vacation. I do recommend hotel to get a cleaner to get rid of those stains on the sofa or just upgrade them for house keeping to maintain and clean. It is very unappealing and definitely did not want to go near it. Also maybe better lighting? The room was so dark and gloomy.

I loved everything, food, stay at hotel, kindness, and even the cleaning crew were on top of things. Specially, a big thanks to Sonia, a waitress who served me and my family from her heart. A person who deserves praise for her work.

My family and I had a wonderful time at this hotel. Rooms were very spacious and clean. We had a great view of the beach.

My family and I had a wonderful time! Its like a hidden jewel. Never been to VA Beach. Mow i am a fan. I will definitely be returning back to this Hotel on the water and beach access. Loved it

On our last day here the hotel did not have hot water. My family and I showered in cold water. The management gave a poor excuse that the entire hotel was without hot water and did not offer a credit adjustment. Also, the daily destination fee should be explained at check in. I would have used more amenities had it been explained to me. I would not recommend this hotel.

Staff would not permit us to check in before 4pm while allowing other families with luggage to check in early. Trash left on every table - floors and carpets were filthy. I never checked in and was charged anyway. Staff was prententious.
