Hilton Garden Inn Chesapeake/Suffolk

The check in staff was amazing and courteous, as was the manager however the cleaning staff were beyond rude. We didnt ask for housekeeping because we had our dog with us however we received nothing but dirty looks every single time we would go to use the elevator. Half of the outlets in our room were non-functioning which was inconvenient and the outdoor area could use a good clean. Cigarette butts everywhere as well as trash. We ended up leaving a day early, not the hotels fault but we had a group of children running up and down the halls which caused our dog to bark and harass our neighbors. Overall 5/10 experience.

Great hotel, great service! The kids went in the pool but we didn’t stay in it long. The chlorine smell was very heavy in the air it was enough to burn your eyes. The hot tub was way too hot. Breakfast was good and the stay was good.

We travel often for business and family trips. The breakfast choices for free breakfast were not available. we were charged for yogurt and bagels. The pillows on the bed were so flat they fell behind the mattress and headboard each nigh which was less than a couple inches wide at most. The television was outdated blurry and extremely small for the cost of the room I expected more. I often get quite a bit more with Marriott brand hotels and will not be using Hilton in the future. the pool and hot tub had so much chlorine it left our children and myself with red itchy irritated skin.

My family and I came down for my uncle’s funeral. I liked the fact that the pool and the jacuzzi actually worked. Most of the time it’s always an excuse as to why the pool isn’t working. We ordered the breakfast. It would have been nice if it could have been delivered to our room but it’s ok. The only bad part was that my omelette was extremely dry! Other than that, the night desk worker was very nice!! She was the black lady who worked 3rd shift. She was very courteous to my family during a sad time.

As I enjoyed my stay in Virginia the hotel was decent enough but the staff was unfriendly The appliances in my room were tattered and torn, The bathtub did not drain by itself, in the other room I had rented for my family they did not have a cover on the light fixture, I had ordered room service and it took them a whole day to come and pick up the tray after I had called twice, I had ordered my rooms online I was not informed of the $25 a night per room insurance that I had to pay upon arrival, what's done is done but I just feel that an explanation would Have been nice, insurance returns to your card after you check out, I received one so far but not the other and im unsure as to why, I enjoyed the location.
