We were on a family vacation. We went to Niagara Falls for a couple of days, then came to Erie and went to Presque Island. Very enjoyable stay

We just stayed for 3 nights with our small children. It was wonderful. The room was clean and big & looked modern. The hotel lobby was also beautiful with a small restaurant inside & a full bar. Loved the coffee shop in the lobby as well. We upgraded our room to the club level, and while it was just a standard breakfast, I thought it was worth it for the snacks, coffee/pop and apps later in the day. 10/10. Walkable to a lot of places, but definitely a hot spot for young adults on the weekend. Which was fine! Overall, we’d come back next summer for sure!

We booked a bay front room in this hotel with 2 queen beds just because of it’s location right next to Lake Erie. During our check-in, we were given a marina view room without even notification. After the discovery, we went back to speak with the staff that wrong room was given to us and we have booked a bay front room. Instead of solving the problem, the staff said that Expedia always books more room than availability and that I should take it up with Expedia for a readjustment of the room price. I said this is unacceptable. I should not have to do anything right now and that responsibility should be taken by the hotel to accommodate us. That we have driven 8 hours to get here mainly to stay at a location with nice view of beautiful Lake Erie. Again, no solution was provided and things were escalating fast. The staff was non apologetic, rude, and was not willing to provide any solution. Until, I requested to see if there is any bay front room with king bed. Luckily, there was and out 4th of July weekend was not completely ruined. But it was uncomfortable for us since my kid grew up and we really prefer 2 separate beds. We are completely ok to tolerate this part. However, what was disappointing is the unwillingness of the hotel staff to provide us with a solution and being unfriendly about it. Also it is disheartening to see the hotel not taking any responsibility for this situation and blaming the third party (Expedia) and pressuring the customer to find their own solution.

We stayed at the Sheraton to break up a long trip- but I was also curious what the area was like so thought we would use this as an opportunity to scope out Erie to see if we would want to return for a longer stay. The hotel was exceptional. We have had so many terrible hotel stays due to filthy conditions and this was a breath of fresh air. The room was spotless down to the baseboards. Carpet clean- no dust anywhere. Bathroom as comfortable as being home. The check in area was lovely. Everything was clean- and it was WELL STAFFED! People working everywhere- which is really unlikely to see in hotels these days. We ate at the restaurant on the main floor which was excellent. It was even family friendly despite its luxurious feel. Service was great- food was delicious. We had our 3 kids including a baby and they all enjoyed the food. Kids wanted to swim - the pool was small and only 3ft4in deep but it was lovely. Super clean- they had so much fun playing there. This is what I expect from a hotel. We had a bay view which was very pretty- there was a black out pull shade as well to allow for comfortable sleep. Everything was great.. We plan to return in the summer to check out the beach and other attractions. My only critique is that the towels at the pool are laughably small. They were more like hand towels.

The room was excellent, but our check in process was not great. I had booked a double queen room and upon arrival, they sent us to a king room. When I returned to the front desk, they said they didn’t have a double queen room and could get use a roll away bed for the king room. I explained that this was unacceptable. We had just driven 3.5 hours, it was late, and we had to get up early for my child’s athletic competition. They then magically found a double queen room. I am not sure how you can book a room, but they don’t actually hold the room. I am thankful they rectified the situation, but it shouldn’t take a rise in my blood pressure to do so.

This has been my family's favorite place to stay from the time my son started his college education at Penn State Behrend until he graduated. We have stayed here multiple times and have always had amazing service from the moment we stepped onto the hotel property.

The parking is very inconvenient. Having to walk through an outdoor hall to get to hotel is a bad design. Also the $14 additional parking charge is penny pitching. The remote control in our room was covered in what looked like baby oil. The bed and pillows were very plush though.

Great family trip. This was our second year visiting for the pirate adventure, beach, children’s museum, zoo and amusement park but our first stay at the Sheraton. Great location off the bay and nice view. Staff was friendly. Hotel was clean. But hotel was smaller than I expected… room and pool were tiny. Given the price I will check the other bay front hotels next time before booking to see if we can get more space for our money.
