Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Monroe, an IHG Hotel

My family and I were in town for a tournament. We whole heartedly enjoyed everything about our stay!! The room was very spacious, the beds were comfy, and you did not hear everyone and their momma in the hallways or doors slamming!! The hotel is located within minutes of a lot of wonderful restaurants and the local Walmart was across the road. Everything was closely centrally located making it easy for a family of 7. We will definitely be staying here again!!!

The property was very clean and the pool was wonderful.most staffers were amazing. However, two staffers disappointed me. The man at check in was rude to me and the breakfast lady brought me to tears. She told a manager that I allowed my children to serve themselves at the buffet when I’m fact only my oldest did and the signage said she was of age. I told her I was visiting my very I’ll mother and instead of helping me or offering sympathies she continued to me rude to me and I cried. It was unbelievable and ruined my stay. I hope I’m the future they could learn to treat people more kindly.

We enjoyed our stay there as we were visiting family in Monroe, and attending Forest Hills Graduation, and family could not accommodate us. The hotel was nice, and except for one day that we did not get our room serviced, we had a pleasant stay. We were in the room longer than expected, and they came and took our dirty towels, but did not replenish them, or our coffee pods and sugar.

When we arrived the lady at the front desk was nice, helpful, and quick to get us in our room. We did have a problem with our AC unit but the front desk was notified and they sent up someone from maintanence. He was also polite, curtious, and got our problem fixed quickly. My family had a great nights sleep, as the beds were comfortable and the room was clean. We went down for breakfast the next morning. Everything was delicious and prepared perfectly. There was a nice variety with almost anything you would want for breakfast. Everything was stocked and well looked after. All staff were nice and polite and appeared to enjoy their work. My family and I would happily stay again and will when we get back that way. Great hotel!
