Hampton Inn Charlotte/Monroe

We were not aware/told about letting the hotel know we were bringing dogs when booking room. Front office seemed agitated about the situation when we were completely unaware/assumed since the hotel was pet friendly, there wouldnt be any issues. Regardless, we are very happy the hotel provides a place for our fur babies!

Nice, clean hotel in my hometown. I stay here quite frequently when visiting family.

I had a good stay there. My 2nd day there my air conditioner went out. But maintenance was quick to service it. The last night there. Some kid running up and down the hallway in the middle of the night and broke window next to my room. The desk people and house keeping was very friendly and helpful.

Paid ahead for two queen beds. When we arrived, they only had a king bed room, which wasn’t a great accommodation for traveling with two adults and two teenage kids. “Hot breakfast” was sub par. There wasn’t even enough coffee for all of the guests. Moat of the food was gone and the staff was in no hurry to replenish. The hotel wasn’t the slightest bit apologetic about giving our room away and offered no price break since we booked through Expedia.

Most expensive in the area. Disappointing for kid. Pool was not open for the season yet. It’s mid June. Staff nice. Had to change rooms due to dog/gym sock smell in first room. Breakfast was ok.

This is a great place to stay! My family and I really enjoyed it and even though there were some negatives we didn't let that spoil our trip. The staff were very polite and helpful, the hotel was clean and inviting. Only negatives were that the pool was not cleaned/very dirty, which was a disappointment as we were looking forward to that amenity. Ice Machine on our floor was broken and the elevator closest to our room was broken, good thing we were only on the 2nd floor or having to drag our suitcases down would not have been fun from a higher floor. All in all, not bad, would stay again.

Front desk staff at checkin was very rude and refused to give me information about my second room which I had reserved and paid for with my credit card because I’d put my family members names n the guest list. She said my family member listed had to be the one to check in yet when I went back outside to car to get him, she made him then come back outside to get me to come in again to give my credit card for incidentals on the room she wouldn’t give me any information about. I showed her my confirmation email with the two rooms booked and listed u set my Hilton honors account and she was still rude and made checkin very difficult. Likewise the hotel air was not working and was very hot. Our room air conditioner did not work the first night but maintenance did come service it the next day so it worked out send night stay. The room had also not been cleaned well. The shower floor was still dirty so I had to put a hand towel down to stand on it.
