Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Charlotte Matthews

It was comforting. However, we were there with two children and the food service staff stated that the juice machine was out of service. They provided water as the only beverage. I would hope that a large chain would send someone to the supermarket to buy some juice for their clients.

This hotel is ready for some upgrades, we have stayed at Fairfield before, and they have been a lot nicer. Breakfast was always out every morning I would go down for breakfast a couple of times each day and would be out of something. It was a bit noisy (kid's graduations) had to haul all our luggage up to room (no buggies anywhere) I checked every day to see if they were just in use when we arrived. Not a great stay we checked out early and went home a day early. with that being said we stayed at the Little Rock on the way home WHAT A FABULOUS HOTEL. Charlotte Matthews needs lots of work on staff and property.

Say at this particular location, five times already while visiting family. Convenient to all.

One night stay for a family function. Very comfortable and affordable rate. Another family member stayed at the hotel too. I’ll stay again here if in the area.

Best place to stay with family with kids.

There were kids & a toddler running around at almost midnight in the lobby while we were checking in. They were so loud & no guardian was there to supervise. Our room didn’t smell clean. It smelled like juice had spilled in the room. It was an older & darker looking hotel. Everything just looked old & dark so you can’t really tell how clean the room was.

Stay for good. Came in to see family.

I hardly slept the entire night. This was no fault of the property but the room above me was stomping/jumping/banging on the floor the entire night. There appeared to be a very large group of children on a sports trip and apparently some were unattended. Noise in the hall. Doors slamming, etc. There was a car parked on the side of the building where my room was that was blasting music during the night after I had gone to bed. No fault of the staff but the stay was terrible.

The property was convenient to Charlotte and the nearby communities I was visiting. The staff was professional and accommodating. The hotel was clean, I have no issues with the care of the room or facilities. The pool was nice, but there weren’t towels for use at the pool. My only complaint was noise. The room above us had guests running around, stomping, laughing, and yelling throughout the night. I notified the front desk, it quieted briefly, but the stomping, running and occasional loud laughing and conversation and yelling carried through until about 1:30 AM. It quieted enough that each time I nearly called the front desk I stopped because they stopped long enough for me to think they were done for the night. Initially when I called, the staff had offered to move us, but my kid was already asleep. So, I was hopeful that the other guests would be more considerate once they were notified that they were being disruptive. I was too optimistic. Breakfast was a pretty standard affair, no complaints there. The dining room was nice, the kitchen area was clean and well maintained. I requested a late checkout, and the staff accommodated it, thankfully since we had a rough night with the noise. Unfortunately, the conference room booked for Sunday morning with loud music blasting… so much for resting before our return trip home. Noise aside, the accommodations were very nice. The staff did try to recover our experience. I probably wouldn’t rebook here though.

Front desk staff was very knowledgeable and friendly even offered to make things better if anything during our stay did not meet our expectations. Check-in was a breeze. Sitting room, bedroom and bathroom are very clean, smell fresh and are spacious. Both the sitting and bedroom have a TV in case family members want to watch something different.
