Overall 9/10 experience. We stayed Christmas night to visit family in the area. The first room we were given smelled like a smoke stack , but the office attendant quickly offered another room once I communicated the issue. Room was spacios, and clean. Breakfast was good too. We would definately stay again . Hopefully they will crack down on the smoking in a non smoking hotel .

Our stay was very good except for sprucing up the room the first two days. We had to call down for clean towels. The remaining days we had no problems. We would stay there again for sure. Staff was very pleasent. Had a little agravation one night. There were many families staying there that were attending a baseball play off for young boys. They got a little playfull and were knocking on doors, then running....just kids playing. Location was great, clean rooms, nice staff! Thanks. Joe

I booked two rooms with two queen beds and a pull out sofa for four nights, Thursday through Sunday. The first night I had to admit a family member to the hospital, so one room had not been checked into until the following evening. It was dirty, bed looked like someone just got out of it, the shower curtain was on the coffee table, dirty rugs in the sink. Plus, it was one queen bed with a sofa. I called Scott at the front desk, who apologized but could only move me to a room of the same size across the hall 326. They were out of double queen beds. It wasn’t until Saturday we got the correct room size. I request a price adjustment but nothing was done. I had to send family into Wilmington to seek another hotel. Julia was the first night clerk and she was very helpful when I stopped in on the way to the ER with family. This trip was because my sister passed away from ovarian cancer. It was her husband I had to admit at Novant. While Scott didn’t follow up on the price adjustment, as he stated he would, he did however maintained a professional attitude during the exchange. Over $1,400.00 spent for the second time during my sisters illness.

We were there for daughter's graduation @ UNCW. While it was a bit further away then wanted, it was perfect. Grand babies able to burn off energy at indoor pool, room was large, breakfast perfect for 2 families on run.

A really good hotel experience, over all. The sofa in the King Suite is not comfortable to sit on, but it does open to a useful pull out bed which is perfect for our family. The property is dog friendly. They have a couple of areas with wide lawns for dog walking -- and even provide pick up bags. There were so many dogs at the hotel this week during our stay, it was like a fun dog park behind the hotel. My son was looking forward to the "indoor" pool, but it was not heated. The manager was concerned when I complained. Turns out the thermostat was bad. After their maintenance man made the repair, we were swimming in a nice, warm pool. The staff is very polite, helpful and responsive. The location of the property is across the street from a Walmart, down the road from several drug stores and a Harris Teeter. There are several nice places to eat in the same city block. Walkability is limited.

Hotel is a bit rundown and the room was not the cleanest. The breakfast staff were excellent. They gave our kids crayons and let them take some snacks for the road.
