The location of the hotel is amazing! We loved being able to walk everywhere in Wilmington. The room was nice and the bed comfortable. However, the service was not great at all. We had a long wait for the front desk anytime we needed anything. We were out of body wash the whole time and couldn’t get anyone on the phone. They emptied the trash in our room but didn’t make the bed or do anything else to clean. The pool was very crowded with no chairs left and a lot of kids, so be aware if you are looking for a relaxing couples trip!

Such an amazing stay. The hotel is beautiful and the staff are so kind and helpful. The location is right in downtown. It is hard to say something negative but more of heads up to anyone traveling with babies or littles- there are no fridges in the room so if you need milk storage bring lots of cool bags. Front desk offered to store but need quick access to it throughout day and night. Hotel itself was amazing!!

The hotel is very nice, staff is pleasant. We booked 3 rooms for 2 nights. Rooms are nice, appear updated. Some issues we encountered were a clogged toilet that they didn’t address until 12 hours later and 3 requests. Another room was so overheated that our kids had to be transferred to another room at midnight. Finally, the king bed in our room had a divot in it so large that I was sleeping on a slant and woke up with back pain. I was offered to move but chose not to only because our rooms were all close to one another. That was no longer then case when they moved our kids at midnight. We were offered Hilton Honors points, so maybe we’ll see those. Upon checkout, my husband reminded the clerk about the issues with our stay, but the clerk showed no concern and rushed us out the door. While waiting for our shuttle back to the airport, we heard several complaints from other guests while waiting in the lobby. It was a nice hotel that needs maintenance and staff training.

Went for the Wilmington historic half the room was amazing. At night though it was hectic the room next to me was loud and running around kids all night til about midnight so I had little sleep and woke up with a migraine.

Beautiful setting on the river walk. Pool is lovely but hotel does lack in other family activities. Could use a game room. Very clean though.

The stay was far from pleasant, which included my car being vandalized on the hotel property( busted window and stolen property) but I will start off with the positive. The staff were friendly. However, the hotel is not what you would expect if you were basing your expectations on the photos. The suite that I paid for was a regular sized room with no privacy. The sofa bed had stains, pretty much everything in the room had some type of stain, including bath towels and walls. The toilet squeaked when you sat on it, and non of my family is so large that the toilet should be squeaking. The walls had dirt sports and stains. I paid $1K for a three day stay for a hotel that was worth $400 at most. This hotel is 2/3 star tops. Not to mention, my car was broken into. After paying a bill like that, management could have offered me a free days stay while I figured out my vandalized car situation but there was not much empathy. Hilton has forever lost my business.

The common areas are all very nice but the room itself seemed very dated. No refrigerator or microwave either and those are almost standard in most hotels today. I had to throw out our leftovers from some of the fine dining places nearby. Also a terrible river view. I booked the river side of the hotel so my kids and I could look at the Cape Fear River and I could tell them the history of the trading route but all we got on the 3rd floor was a sprawling view of the Convention Center rooftop, replete with standing water and an industrial heat pump. Don’t get any rooms numbered 321-329! Also there was a giant cockroach under the bathroom sink. The staff members were pleasant enough though but they do charge for parking. Overall I’d return to this hotel but I’d insist on a higher level room so one can see the river unobstructed.

One working elevator- which happened to be next to our room. So lucky!! We heard it All Night Long. No reduced rate for that, though- are you kidding? Also, no recycling bins there is nothing green about this establishment. This is not a deluxe hotel. It’s nice, but this hotel is the standard of an ordinary hotel stay- not extraordinary. The price per night claims it’s worthy- it’s not.

The nightly rate on this hotel was not in keeping with what you would expect. They were short staffed, it smelled like feet in the lobby and we wanted a fridge. We checked in and met our friends and went to the restaurant. There was a wedding reception taking place and we were told that our dinners would be a while until they had served the guests of the wedding. Breakfast the next day was great but after that the chef and bartender quit and the restaurant was not open for dinner and the sub bartenders were untrained. The elevator was broken all week and the workmen used language that did not bother me but I am forgiving and I did not have children or less tolerant people with me. The real issue was that the first night we fell into bed and woke up to find our sheets had been stained by a previous guest. We knew that they would be coming Wed to do a clean and replace sheets/towels etc. so we pulled up the cover and slept on the other bed. Wednesday we came back from being out and the beds were made, towels replaced but glasses we intentionally left to be replaced were not and we pulled back the sheets on our bed and the sheets had not been changed so we checked the stained sheet bed and it had been just remade not changed either. I went downstairs to desk and housekeeping came immediately and changed the stained bed but not the other one. Next time we will stay somewhere else.
