The Giacomo, Ascend Hotel Collection

Place is beautiful. Very swanky. Staff was fantastic. Main bed was very comfortable! Breakfast was ok. Nothing spectacular by any means and finding a seat was rough for a family of four. If you are traveling as a family, please get a room that is more than one bed. The pullout couch was incredibly uncomfortable. The 19th floor was a treat though as was the bar area! 100% would recommend being aware of the bed situation.

This amazing, beautiful, historical building was perfect for our family vacation. Very cozy.

There was a huge argument right outside the hotel the night we arrived. The very next morning there was a fight in the front lobby at 9am that no one was stopping. You definitely need 24/hr security. After that if I had kids with me I would of left.

Great hotel. The only thing I didn’t like is how dirty the carpet was in the room. We travelled with the baby who had dirty legs after crawling in the hotel room.

The hotel was ok. Room was small, hard to get around, bathroom was huge. The only thing that is not disclosed in the description is there is only one handicap room. As a person who walks with a walker the bathroom is a huge issue. The floor in the tub was slippery, nothing to grab onto, I finally threw down a towel so I wouldn't fall. There is no railing or anything to grab onto near the toilet. This is a scary situation with someone who has balance issues. I finally figured out how to get of the toilet without asking for help from my family. First night we were in a standard room, not a suite as requested, second night we were still in the same room but the room I booked was more of a themed room. We did receive some compensation but it wasn't what I requested. Breakfast was great, delivered to the room which helped with my disability. As a person with a severe handicap, stay away if you are handicap, book somewhere else.

Beautiful property - we visited Christmas week and the lavish space was nicely decorated. Bathrooms ARE AMAZING. Breakfast was actually delivered to the rooms, which was a lovely treat. There were fireworks over Niagara Falls that we could see from the 17th floor lounge. Front desk staff courteous and friendly - check in/out super easy. We travelled as a family of 5 and booked 2 rooms and enjoyed it thoroughly.

My family enjoyed our stay. If we ever come back to the area we will definitely stay here again. My favorite part was the breakfast service, my kids loved it. I will say that the shower had hair all over it but other than that we enjoyed our stay. Oh I can’t forget them delivered warm cookies at night and they were delicious. Very convenient to the falls and shops.

Property was beautiful loft style apartment. Plenty of room for family. Modern amenities and breakfast delivered everyday!

Excellent location easy to walk to cataracts view and rainbow bridge. Nice staff, spacious room and bathroom. I will recommend to family and friends.

My boyfriend and I came to Niagra Falls for a quick overnight trip for our anniversary. He has never been to Niagra Falls. It was convenient that the Falls were a 5-minute walk from the hotel, so we did not have to figure out parking between our hotel and downtown. The clerks at the front desk were so helpful and nice. There was a sign in the bathroom that said if you wanted to take the robes home, you could but there was a charge for each of them. We did not have robes in our room, which was not a big deal at all. We stopped at the front desk to let them know, just so we werent charged for them. The clerk at the front desk immediately went and got us two robes. To our surprise there was live music and food trucks just down the street that we enjoyed while walking around. The sky view room also had an amazing view of the Falls at night. Breakfast was great as well! Our family has traveled A LOT this summer. This was by far our best hotel stay ever. Highly recommend.
