Baymont by Wyndham Belen NM

It was a pleasant stay for my family that the hotel is being carefully maintained. Staffs were very friendly. Although the breakfast was not superb, I was impressed staffs take a good care of the cafeteria all the time. Highly recommended.

Rooms were clean, front desk person was nice, maid was friendly, breakfast was a hot meal with several options. Have stayed here several times when visiting family. Well stay again for sure.

The front desk person that did our check in, was rude with his comments. We came in to check in after Midnight. we came into the lobby my husband and I, the front desk person asked if we had reservations, I said yes I gave him my name and he said he did not speak Spanish I repeated my name, he said again that he did not speak Spanish, to what my husband said to him she is not speaking Spanish she is giving you her name. I explained that I had said it with out an accent since is a Spanish surname, I then repeated or pronounce it with an English accent, then he asked for my ID and bank card for incidentals, he asked me what had brought us to Belen NM, from Phoenix AZ? I said that we were visiting family and he responded "that is too far to visit family". Later I was translating for my Brother in-law and the front desk person excused himself again for not speaking Spanish and said to me that my brother in-law was going to be able to communicate well with the housekeeping crew in the morning. It felt senseless that person who is representing the hospitality industry in your beautiful hotel under Wyndham in a Southwest State be clueless to the community he is serving.

For the price point was especially surprised that all of the other reviews were correct. Wonderful stay by my family. Everything was clean, quiet and well maintained. Thought we were the only ones there at first until we saw all the vehicles outside. Only bummer was the pool being closed. It was obvious that the front desk tenant was watching a movie or show on their PC but they were attentive when needed.

This place is Amazing, A hidden Gem! If you happen to be in this town and need a place to stay, do not hesitate, you will thank my review after. This place is immaculate clean. To me staying in a Clean facility/hotel room is #1 priority. This place exceeds the standards. Beautiful, comfortable rooms. If it helps i have big family so we stayed in the Suite. Comfortable King Size bed with a Sofa bed an actual table to eat, Keurig Coffee machine, TV with Direct TV, fridge, Microwave and i could not emphasize more, this Hotel is CLEAN. They offered a hot complimenatry Breakfast (Eggs, Sausage, biscuit & gravy, waffles, toast, cereal, Bananas, apple juice, orange juice, milk, coffee)

Toilet would not flush so essentially no way for the whole family to use the toilet (for #1). Ruined the whole stay. Had to hold bathroom usage overnight until morning to use common restroom in the lobby. When discussing this with front desk it seemed like a problem that has occurred in other rooms as well in the past.
