Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Auburn, an IHG Hotel

Our room smelled like smoke. The room was very dated also. My family and I stayed for my daughters graduation and the hotel did the trick but they are in desperate need of an upgrade.

We were glad to find a suite for several family members to stay for a memorial service weekend, and it was adequate. It wasn't great, it wasn't terrible. We had to ask for bedding for the pull-out sofa, and we had to bring it up to the room ourselves. Also, they had no more pillows for the sofa sleeper to use. The fridge is small and tilted, making it difficult for us to use. The shower drained VERY slowly, meaning that a couple of inches of water were left standing after the first user. There was some dirt in the corners revealing a lack of thoroughness when cleaning. Highway noise was noticeable all night.

Slow elevator and just one, a bit out of the way, no pool for the kids, but quiet, clean, excellent breakfast and coffee set up, and friendly, helpful staff.
