Beechwood Hotel

Our second time staying here to visit family. Very nice property and large, attractive, functional rooms. My only negative comment is that (like many other hotels) the door is heavy and difficult to use for older customers. The restaurant is good although service at breakfast this time was not up to par.

It’s our go to place to stay when we come to visit family. Always book at the Beechwood because we know that our room is always clean and comfortable. The staff are always so friendly and were able to accommodate a change request when we got there only because we had a change in plans.

I'm definitely not impressed by the hotel in general. I booked a junior suite for 3 nights. It had a rock hard bed, Luke warm dribble of a shower. A legit mini fridge, no microwave, cheap single use coffee machine. The air conditioning did not work. On top of everything else, the water was shut off for 2 hours for construction on another floor. On a New Years Eve weekend. The front desk was friendly, but that's about all the hotel had to offer

It was a clean and pleasant place to stay. The junior suite was spacious. Unfortunately, we tried breakfast at the adjoining Sonoma and after waiting half an hour for a waitress to come over, we walked out. I saw another table do the same.

I was very comfortable at this hotel, very much like home away from home. I was very impressed with how clean it was. I stayed in a suite with a fireplace and it was perfect for me and my family.

Reservations were made in September 2021 for three rooms for family members attending local college graduation of our daughter in May 2022. All reservations were the same with 2 queen beds in each room. Upon check-in, one of the rooms was switched with no prior warning to a single king size bed with a pullout sleeper couch. The room was beautiful and spacious and it suited us since our son slept comfortably on the pull-out couch. The lack of communication, however, was nevertheless disconcerting. One of the three rooms had a broken down AC system, which was a problem since the temperature soared to the mid-80's during the day and the rooms retained the heat during the evening. The family member staying in the affected room had to abandon the 2nd night's stay because of the problem. Not sure if we'll see any reimbursement for that. The television in our room worked, but did not properly boot and so was unable access the hotel programming system. I'm sure the staff could have fixed it if we bothered them about it, but we spent so little time in the room, it really didn't matter. As far as comfort and cleanliness, it was a very satisfying visit for us as well as the family members staying in the other room with the working AC. Despite the short-comings, I'd definitely stay at this hotel in future.

I had reserved the junior suite for 2 nights. Upon arrival, they did not have my reservation. I gave them my confirmation from hotels.com. Then I was told there were no more junior suites for both nights. I was very upset as it had been confirmed. We got there late afternoon and should have been accommodated. Upon entering the room with our luggage, we noticed an awful smell. We had to change room (and floors I might add). My husband was able to get us a junior suite for the next night working with the manager. We had to move 3 times for 2 nights. Then we were told we had to pay $80 per night for the small dog. Insane! Not a pleasant experience.
