Old Sturbridge Inn and Reeder Family Lodges

Surprised this has such great reviews. While clean and serviceable, and the location is ideal if you plan to go to Old Sturbridge Village, this place is nothing special. Service was very friendly. Bed is very comfortable. Decor is a little tired, in rooms and also in common areas. No-frills, although basic needs are met. Exterior of office building a little extra-worn. Gym includes stair machine and elliptical; to be fair, it is labelled "Exercise Room" and not "Gym," so the descriptor is accurate. If you are looking for the nicest place in Sturbridge, there is a place that exceeds this one in terms of amenities and fit & finish. This would probably be a great choice if you have younger kids that need to run around - there's a nice, new-looking playground on-site, and some nice open areas. It would also be a great choice if you're planning on spending any time at Old Sturbridge Village. VERY convenient and discounted tickets! For a weekend getaway with your spouse, maybe pick a different spot....

I was pleasantly surprised by this small hotel. Our room was quite spacious and comfortable. The hotel is very kid-friendly and has a pool, small playground and lawn games. It is also very close to Old Sturbridge Village, which we thoroughly enjoyed.
