Overview

The MGM Springfield offers a surprisingly family-friendly experience within a casino setting. While the casino itself provides entertainment options, families will appreciate the clean and comfortable rooms, the on-site movie theatre and bowling alley, and the availability of children's activities. Parents should be aware that the pool can get crowded and that the hotel is integrated with the casino, which might not be ideal for all families.

Wonderful experience! Mitchell at the front desk was amazing and answered all of my many questions. He was so helpful and patient. Our room was great, very large walk in shower with many cute extra little things around the room for us to enjoy (waters, sound machine, disposable toothbrush/toothpaste, disposable razor for shaving, etc). The pool was small but perfect and the hot tub was rather large. The pool area had lounge chairs, cabana style seating, pool towels, and restrooms. You really did not need to leave the hotel to eat, many options on site that you can access no matter your age through the under 21 walking path. Our young family will definitely be returning.

We enjoyed our stay at MGM. Rooms were clean. The bathroom has an odd set up. Staff was friendly. The pool was very crowded with a lot of kids and no access to a bar

Loved the shower and bedroom decor. The hotel staff weren’t overly friendly, but it was fine. The front desk gave my children crayons, a coloring book and candy. She asked if the children were allergic to peanuts. The hotel room was very clean and modern. The elevators worked perfectly.

I love this property but they closed the arcade and my kids were really looking forward to that. The movie theatre was great, and bowling is available as well onsite.

1. No disabled parking available. No valet for hotel guests. Took over an hour to find parking space. 2. No microwave or refrigerator in room. Bed was like sleeping on a rock. 3. Not expecting at a casino hotel to hear small children screaming and yelling all night from room next door. 4. Dinner cost over $320 for 2 of us and for that amount you would atleast thought there would be great food. 5. Was unable to apply money spent on hotel and dinner to the mgm rewards. 6. No free alcoholic drink service. Pushed drink service button when I first sat at the slot machine and no one came. Nor was there anyone walking around with trays of premade drinks as you have at other casinos. If you wanted a free soft drink, you had to leave the gambling area and wait in line at a self service drink station which had a lot of children and a lot of people just coming in off the street for free drinks. 7. $80 in money playing slot machines was gone in less than 20 minutes. My experience at other casinos is 5hat you can at least play for 1.5 to 2 hours before running out. 8. Convenience store closed at 10pm on a Friday night. Had to use vending machine on hotel floor for drinks and most of the selections were empty. 9. Did not feel safe as a couple of times saw large number of security guards running past. When going outside to smoke, a lot of sketchy locals standing around and a couple begging for money.

Nice size casino to take young children to. Went bowling, watched a movie. Rooms are very clean and comfortable. Only downfall was the movie theatre was pretty messy and it was way overpriced for popcorn and snacks (like every theatre) We would come back!

Terrible experience from the parking to the check out! Difficult to find the hotel vs. the casino especially when traveling with someone under the age of 21! There is no hotel entrance from the outside so you have to walk through the casino to find the hotel which you can't do when traveling with a child because it's blocked off for under 21- very poorly designed. Now for the room - walls are paper thin so you can hear everything in the next rooms/hallways (and I mean EVERYTHING) which is why they provide earplugs and a noise machine on your night stand which didn't help. Sketchy people hiring all kinds of "entertainment " next door. We asked for a room change but hotel would not accomodate us. We were there because it was in close proximity to the horse show in town - really bad choice! I will never stay there again and do not recommend!!
