Holiday Inn Express Springfield Downtown, an IHG Hotel

Very friendly and accomodating staff. The room was very clean and upkept bathroom with cleanliness and looking updated. They dont have cots or roll-away beds for those with more than 2 kids and the amount of chlorine at the pool was so high that my eyes burned just being there. The breakfast was quite good and the pancake machine was a hit with everyone. Area around this location was a bit sketchy and some car blasted music at 2 in the morning so loud and with such impressive bass that I am sure everyone woke up thinking a party with bombs going off. Luckily only lasted a few minutes.

Property was nice very clean and staff was definitely attentive and kind. The area which is downtown has limited parking close to the hotel so the offer a lot close by which my car was broken into overnight and my things were trashed which terrified my child upon seeing it the next day.

so staff is not to great, they do not replenish anything like towels near the pool, heat in our room was not working, Then we had a family emergency went to check out at 6pm the night before we had to leave and they said sorry we can't check you out till the actual day of your stay, What? I left the night before I expect to not have to wait. never came across something like that before.

I enjoy staying at the Holiday Inn is comfortable and is close to my family home and also near the MGM casino .

The Holiday Inn Express on State Street in SPRINGFIELD, MA was a nice surprise at the end of a long day of traveling and family functions. I git the suite that sleeps 6. It was very clean and inviting...the decor was contemporary and comfortable. Even the views of downtown were nice. It was literally only a 2minute walk to the MGM Casino. Breakfast was fresh & delicious! A perfect stay. The ONLY issue we had (and it's not the Hotels fault, it just happens to be the location) My daughter was badly harrassed by a crackhead hanging around the entrance, he would not let her pass to meet me back at the parking lot until another patron of the hotel saw and came out to help her...the patron then waited outside for us until we walked back from the lot and entered the hotel safely. Extremely grateful to him! We were also harrassed by another one hanging out front when we were returning from the casino, until he set his sights on the next unlucky passers-by. BUT THE HOTEL & IT'S EMPLOYEES WERE AMAZING! We had 3 suites altogether for the family and we all loved it and were very comfortable. Thank you!

I love the view from some of the rooms.The staff is very polite.The pool is small but cute very clean and my children had a very good time.They have a little Business center that has two computers so that’s very convenient and my kids love to go on the computers,I have checked in three times already I love down town Springfield and will continue to come here and make this place one of my home away from homes ❤️❤️❤️❤️

We got an accessible double queen room. The extra space for our family of 5 was great. Being at the end of the hall was quiet in regards to potential noise in the hallway. Beds were super comfortable (literally might even be the most comfortable hotel bed I've ever slept in). Room was clean. Loved all the Dove products. The included breakfast was surprisingly decent. Kids were disappointed the pancake machine wasn't working, but enjoyed all the other options. Great customer service from all the employees. Pool was small and could've been warmer but we still enjoyed it. Parking was free. Packing and unpacking the car were a little challenging for our family of 5 because it was a short walk to the car. If I was single or traveling without young kids, it'd be super easy, but was still doable. Noise from the cars on the street was loud at night but certainly nothing can be done about that when staying in the city. Would totally stay here again!

Rooms were clean. Staff was pleasant. Was a little crowded and noisy overnight kid’s running the halls till 2am and we were across from the elevator kept me up all night.

Parking was offsite, but only half block - kiddy corner from hotel. Nothing too bad.
