Hampton Inn & Suites Springfield/Downtown

AC was super loud and disrupted my whole family from sleeping most of the night. This is something that needs to be addressed urgently

They had a nice pool (pool shower was leaky though). Gym was immaculate. Staff was very nice and helpful. Breakfast had a lot of yummy options and was free. Room was nice but would have preferred a closing/ locking door on the bathroom. It was a sliding door and kiddos kept busting in on people! Surrounding area of the hotel was a little sketchy. They sold tickets to the basketball hall of fame at a discounted rate which was AWESOME

Great location to stay for six flags. Restaurants/ liquor store within walking distance. Nice breakfast included. Pool was small only 4 feet deep, kids still enjoyed it.

The hotel was great. Stayed here with family to attend a swimming event in Springfield. It was clean, the staff was helpful. The shower was hot, the internet good, and the rooms quiet. I felt the breakfast options were better than most hotels I have seen lately, though not as good as it could be.

This was the most disgusting place I’ve ever stayed. The elevators smelled overwhelmingly like bug spray which got me a little nervous as we went up to our room. The room stunk like marijuana the minute we opened the door, there were pot leaves or ashes on the white bedspread & an indent where someone must’ve been sitting and didn’t bother smoothing it out. The floor had a dried spill not cleaned up and the bathroom was dirty with the faucet coming out of the wall. The thermostat was not working so it was warm and my son saw something like blood on the fabric desk chair. I looked up to see either coffee or dried blood on the ceiling. When I went to shake the pot leaves or ashes off the bed and lifted the bedspread there was a hair and surprise! some kind of beetle. That was it I was done! My husband put the beetle in a tissue and we brought it down to the front desk. The manager asked if it was still alive and we said yes! He went in the back and then came out and offered to change our room. I said are you kidding me! We are not staying and want a full refund. We literally drove to MA from NY to visit the basketball hall of fame and had to go home the same day because we couldn’t stay at that dump. Luckily I never unpacked because now I was paranoid that I might bring bugs home. Even though we were at the hotel for less than a half hour before we left, I still washed everything and disinfected our suitcase. I don’t know if I will use Hotels.com anymore I’m so disgusted.

I can see why Hampton built one of their properties here, location wise it makes sense being that it's nearby to MGM, the Basketball Hall of Fame, and restaurants. However outside the hotel area is a bit grungy. Definitely a reminder you're in Springfield. I would not walk to go get dinner. The hotel itself was very nice. Super clean, quiet, family friendly. The concierge woman was accommodating and check-in went smoothly. Our double bed room was very clean! There was a weird stain on the shower curtain though...Other than that I have no complaints, the halls were clean and quiet, checked out the pool to swim and it was on the smaller side but very clean. You needed a keycard to get in which I appreciate. Breakfast was great! Great options, coffee could have been hotter, but everything was put out nicely and area was kept very clean. I would stay here again!

We traveled with our dog, and we were not impressed by the grounds. There was no area to even walk your dog, and the areas where there were it was littered with dog waste that no one was picking up. The lighting in our room was poor so when we brought food back, we couldn’t even really see on the one side of the room and there was no place to really store your clothes. We were there for two days with two children and there was no place to store your clothes, like no drawers to put your clothes in.
