We had a Girls Weekend with my best friend I hadn't seen in several years. We stayed at Fairfield Inn in Savannah and had a wonderful time. My bed was so comfortable, I slept like a baby. The room was clean, the breakfast was good over all, although the eggs were a little powdery, and it was within walking distance to all downtiwn historical locations and River Street. Our second day, it POURED down rain with thunder and lightening. We hurried for almost 30 min in the downpour to get back to the hotel from the statue of The Waving Girl at the other end of River Street. We looked like drowned rats and the staff hurried to meet us with fresh warm towels to help dry ourselves and told us not to worry about the dripping water on the floor. We had a great time in a very comfortable, quiet hotel. I would definitely stay here again if I go back.

The hotel staff was not friendly at all. They didn't even greet anybody when entering or leaving the hotel. When I asked if we could have two rooms next to each other I was told that the rooms were assigned to someone else who had not checked in as yet. The hotel was not fully booked so I did not see a reason why they couldn't put us two families together.

-Opening the door to our room we found our A/C was not working. When going over to the A/C unit my wife stepped on a rusty screw left on the floor. Thankfully it didn't cut, just a scratch. someone left a sharp screw on the floor! The A/C finally started to worked. no issues after that. -The shower head sprays across the bathroom into the sink.I do not know how that passed a simple room inspection! but it did. bathroom was very clean. -I took my son to the pool. The water was clean and clear. the deck had new pavers. unfortunately it was not complete and I jammed my toes on uneven sharp pavers. It really hurt! Glad I was not cut, someone will get hurt on this!! I already Did. -We booked two Rooms on this site. Upon arrival they only set us in one room. 5 adults and one child in one room with only 2 full beds in it? That does not make sense, but that is what they gave us. I asked about the second room and the front desk lady was confused and a bit snippy. She ended up adding another room for us but under another reservation -The beds though.Oh MY GOD! you may just want to bring your own mattresses. After 4 nights my wife and I hurt so much. you can feel every spring. my 70lb son sat down and he looked like he was lying in a hammock -Breakfast is a joke! Instead of buying some air-fryers and cooking the food properly they microwave everything!! Even the waffles! I would have brought my concerns to the front desk but with the attitude i did not feel comfortable.

The only thing that I didn’t like was the breakfast.... that was a kiddie meal for children.... cereal and juice... I thought that I was the only guest complaining about the meal, but the others felt as though, it should have been better... last month, I stayed at Holiday Inn, they had a better selection of foods...
