Andaz Savannah - a concept by Hyatt

Staff were professional and friendly and eager to assist - Valet, behind the desk, restaurant, bar, housekeeping, etc. Hotel is in a convenient location and within walking distance to river front, and many of the parks. Public transportation access is nearby as well. We will recommend this property to family and friends.

Great room for family and kids (suite jr). Smores, great breakfast coupon. Friendly staff, bikes, etc.

The staff was wonderful. The cleaning was okay. Location was great. A bit loud so I would say if traveling with a small child, you may want to look for something further away from the partying and noise.

We've stayed here several times through the years and the quality is amazing BUT this time they seemed to be struggling a bit with good customer service and housekeeping. They offer a free kit for smores at the fire pit and it was very disappointing. First of the lady at the desk got an attitude with me when I asked for 5 kits for my 6 family members. She would only give me 4 kits and it had 2 nasty hard marshmallows..a few pieces of chocolate which is not in a package and who knows who touched it.. and a Graham Cracker that turned out to be stale. Oh and then they handed me a wooden skewer to roast the marshmallows on??!!?? Not a good idea to stick wood over the fire! Ironically this is a free perk they offer as part of there very expensive DAILY "resort fee". Needless to say it a disappointing and a waste of time. They also offer free drinks and snacks in your room as part of this fee BUT they would not replenish the drinks or snacks when they tended the room and we would have to go to the desk to get water every day. For the price of the DAILY "resort fee"these things were very frustrating to deal with. And beware they use a flat sheet instead of a fitted sheet to cover the mattress and they don't give you a flat sheet at all to sleep with. You only have the duvet to cover yourself with. Very strange and my husband struggled for 2 nights with going between being cold and hot because of this. Other than that great location and quality.

From the moment we arrived to the hotel, we were greeted and welcomed. Valet parking quickly offered a luggage cart in case we needed it and checked in our car. Then at the front desk, we were quickly offered champagne, sangria, and other complementary refreshments (water, soda) to help welcome you in. We were checked in within 5 minutes and were told that there would be complementary wine and appetizer tastings later that day at the bar. They were high quality appetizers and full servings of wine! At the pool, they provide s’mores making kits so you can chill by the fire pit with kids and enjoy making s’mores. In our room we had complimentary water, soda, and chips. There are also water refill stations throughout the hotel. On our second day, we text the valet service and our car was out in front by the time we came down from our room. Our EV was fully charged for our excursion that day, this was definitely a nice touch. This hotel is also located next to a lot of great restaurants and attractions. This hotel raised the bar on attention to detail and hospitality while staying at a hotel. We will definitely be staying at the Andaz in the future and recommend you do so as well.

Context: My wife and I were relocating to a new city and decided to stop in Savannah on the way up. We initially chose Andaz given the great reviews and close proximity to the historic district. Experience: We showed up relatively late after a long drive up and were extremely well taken care of from the get-go. The hotel lobby is trendy and cozy while the rooms are nice, comfortable and very well kept. What stood out in particular was the extraordinary service shown to us (and our two medium-large sized dogs) by Cassie, Thaddeus, and the gentlemen working in valet. Prior to this evening, my wife and I have been very fortunate to stay in several top-tier hotels all over the place yet the service I experienced at this property stood out because the employees seemed genuinely nice as opposed to the robotic-like responses/reactions you would receive at other properties. I will 100% come back to this hotel when I’m in Savannah, and will highly recommend to my friends, colleagues, and family. Well Done!
