Ashburn Hotel

Good hotel, family friendly, acomodating staff, great breakfast. The rooms were a little too warm everything else was adequate.

My son and I stayed for 4 nights at this wonderful property. I must say the front desk staff is top notch. They were always available and willing to help. We stayed in the deluxe room. I was concerned as this room faces the main road, however, with some air plugs and a brown noise app, I was able to sleep fairly well. Pros about this place: excellent location to the underground. There’s a grocery store (waitrose) just a few yards away. Lots of places to eat in the vicinity, walking distance to Kensington Palace, Harrod’s etc. It is close to the city center but not right in the middle of it. Cons: the toilet in our room took some babying and extra steps just to make sure it flushed. Sometimes it did and sometimes it didn’t. Despite calling maintenance and the front desk to have it fixed, it just never worked right. -The lady who works in the breakfast area was very abrupt and cranky.

This hotel is simple and does the trick if you’re just looking for a clean small room to sleep and plan to spend most your time out and about in London. The shower pressure was fantastic and there’s a grocery store less than a block so you can get your own water etc. If you plan to spend more time in your room, if you plan to spend more time in your room or have a baby or child, I would suggest you look for a room with more space.
