This one is a keeper. Particularly next door to Gloucester Rd tube (Piccadilly, Circle, Direct). Very well appointed outside and in. There was a family feel to the hotel. Staff very friendly. Ground floor reception, pleasant bar and restaurant which in its own right is the Light of India Indian restaurant. And the breakfast was great. Room was more than adequate great nights sleep. Well positioned for museums, Royal Albert Hall, Knightsbridge. Great value for money. Will be back.

We had an infant with us and the staff was super helpful and attentive to all of our needs. Hotel is in a great location. Highly recommended!

The hotel has been refurbished since we stayed here last time and the reception, bar and restaurant were excellent. However the rooms are very tired. Our first room was obviously a single room with a double bed put in right next to a wall!! I complained and we were then given a large family room in the basement which was better but certainly not a room with a view!!! The silicone sealant around the bath needed redoing as black in parts. However, the icing on the cake was breakfast which was excellent and served by lovely staff.

I have a genuine issue with this hotel not allowing me a partial credit when I had to leave on the second day of a 4 night stay - I was called home to Canada very urgently due to a family emergency. I found their lack of compassion astounding as they insisted on standing behind policy. I understand policies - I help create them for other businesses - but there is always an exception. I would have thought this was one of them.

We loved our stay at The Montana Hotel! We stayed in a family room on the 2nd floor on the Gloucester Road side. With the windows open, traffic at night was noisy. With windows closed, it was very quiet. The staff were very sweet and helpful, including lending us a converter plug everyday and helping us with our airport shuttle arrangements. Every day when we got back to the room it had been completely refreshed...possibly even with clean sheets...with hospital corners, too! The free wireless was helpful for figuring out plans for the next day, etc. And the location can't be beat...a short walk up to Kensingston Palace and Hyde Park and just steps to the Gloucester Road underground.
