Les Suites Victoria, Ascend Hotel Collection

We travelled to Gatineau for a dance competition with our family. We were very comfortable in our spacious room with kitchenette. It was a perfect location for us to spend the time toghether.

There's always a reception guy there so whenever I need something I can get it anytime. The staff responded quickly and nicely every time. The parking lot beside the building is small but convenient and the staff said there's other large parking lots near the building for big cars like trucks to park in. We stayed there as a family with 2 kids and my mum for 2 nights. The sofa bed is super good, large and comfortable which is out of my expectation. The bathroom is clean and all the things functions quite well. Also all the kitchen appliance and cookwares are in good and clean conditions. I'll book it again next time when we went to Ottawa.

1- The room was scorching hot. My kids and I were sweating therefore we left the window open (it was still hot at this point) and the kids got woken up 3 times on our first night and 2 times on our second night given the noise. I went to ask a woman for a fan or something and she said we did not use the A/C correcty. I googled the A/C model and used it properly. Nobody helped our situation after bringing it up to two different people. I did not take stars off for thw following but I asked one person what activities can I do and that person said they did not know what to do. I question the cleanliness of the room because we found something that belonged to someone else in the room. The restaurant within the hotel is closed which is unfortunate because it is the only thing the restaurant offers. The pros: big practical rooms
