La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Elkview - Charleston NE

The room was clean. The hallway carpets were filthy. We asked for a room on the main floor because we had a small dog with us. We were told there wasn’t any rooms available on the first or second floors. Looked like attendees on duty were entertaining friends or family. We will not be staying at that location again.

looked like a child caulked the tub. the soap dishes looked like they were held on with caulking. tub drain was broken. looked like black mold behind caulking and handicap handle bar. water stains in ceiling. paint look like it was used as a cover up and not done very well at that.

The room was very nice and clean! The staff was very polite, professional, and accommodating to our family. The breakfast assortment had just enough variety for my kids, which makes our traveling so much easier. Thank you so much for making our short stay enjoyable!

Property was clean, breakfast was decent. Chose this place for there pool, which was shut down. Disappointed in that. I had children with me that looked forward to that.

I liked that its close to downtown and there was a kroger and a couple of Gas stations. I did not like that the pool was not working because the kids where looking forward to swimming and I had to look for a pool else where and pay for that extra expense.

Our room was quiet very accommodating and we would use this hotel in the future. The staff was very friendly and being elderly was helpful securing our luggage to our room. My only negative comment would breakfast due to out of condiments ie butter for pancakes/waffles which could have been purchased at the Krogers in the same center. We did spend one extra day with family at the holiday express which was more expensive and not as nice and was outdated and more expensive. Unfortunately family made these accommodations.

I booked 2 rooms for one night. Ours was fine but the one for our son and his family was not. When they arrived at the room the door was wide open,there were no towels and no bedding for the pullout couch, and food behind the TV. When they reported it the desk clerk merely said she she'd let the manager know. I believe something should have been done to remedy this on their part. I didnt find out about it until we were checking out or i would have complained more.

I was in need of a room for myself and children. We had been driving all day and checked in around 10-10:30pm for one night. We’ve always like La Quinta so while it seemed a little pricey, we still chose to stay. The staff was very friendly and helpful but the hotel was in bad shape. Both our keys didn’t work and luckily the front clerk happened to be walking by to help another guest get into his room. He quickly let us in and we were so tired we just chose to wait until the morning to fix that issue. When walking into our room, it was filthy. There were hairs all over the tub, sink, floor in the bathroom. There was used toilet paper under the shelf below the sink. There was stains all over the carpet in the hallways along with a large group of dead bugs. Even the ice bucket had hairs in it. The tv also didn’t work properly. It was pixelated every 2 seconds to where you couldn’t watch a show. To say i was disappointed was an understatement. There were no other hotels nearby that had a vacancy so we had no choice but to stay. If not, i would have been requesting a refund and leaving. I will say that the beds were comfortable though and the staff were great. The ladies in the breakfast area were friendly and super helpful.

Came in late went to bed and slept like a baby place met my needs
