Courtyard by Marriott Richmond Scott’s Addition

Convenient to my family. Clean and safe property. Also quiet.

It was ok but I told the front desk twice that my tv was not getting any movie channels and they never came to fix it the 2 days I was there. I don’t get a lot of down time to relax because I have kids so I was looking forward to just watching a movie and couldn’t.

They never clean my room because they don’t have enough staff to clean the rooms .And was a lot of kids too laugh and they never control that we can not sleep well.

This is a newly built hotel and though the front desk personnel were very pleasant, I had an issue with my tv in my room, in which it would not connect to the internet. The front desk informed me that they had no maintenance person on site and all they could do is move me to another room. Not wanting to pack up my things and change rooms, I looked in the back of the TV and after 15 minutes or so, I figured out how to get the wifi connected. Also, found that the bracket to the TV was broken and the TV would lean forward and down, not able to upright it. Also, I had hoped to use the pool but found it full of children, no fault of the hotel, just bad timing for me. Lastly, the parking was poor as the spaces were much smaller than I believe regulation provides for, so it was tight and I was concerned of others marking my car with their doors.

The staff was amazing and we live how close it is to the science museum and childrens museum.

Checkin was ok. The bathroom was dirty so I had to go out my way to buy cleaning supplies. Requested a room changed but my family and I couldn’t be accommodated due to the check in time. I was going to be up charged to move to a clean room which was ridiculous after paying 530 for two days in a stinking room.
