SpringHill Suites by Marriott San Antonio SeaWorld Lackland

First room bathroom was so gross I couldnt bathe my toddler. Changed rooms, then there was some weird paper stuff on the ceiling. House keeping by request only which we did not know and spent 3 nights. There was construction going on which we did not know the extent until we picked up our Airmen from graduation and want to sit down stairs to catch up...DUST EVERYWHERE! Very limited breakfast..eggs/sausage/oatmeal/cereal, we didnt eat it anyways because of being afraid of the cleanliness from nighg construction. The bathrooms can not be used at night because the doors are glass and the light shines in the room. When I nicely complained..i was basically told oh well. Worst experience ever and we travel a lot!

What I like the most at this hotel was the staff. They went above and beyond with the service. They did not make me feel like a number but more so like a family member. I left my watch and when I called the front desk without hesitation, they expeditiously had my watch delivered to my location.

We booked at this hotel because of the fairly good reviews, but I was extremely disappointed in our room. Maybe we just had bad luck on the particular room, but the sliding door that was on the toilet room (it's a small separate room from the other bathroom with a shower/sink) was almost impossible to slide open on the tracks - it was grinding and very stiff. There was no soap at the pedestal sink (although we found a 2nd bar in the other bathroom). The shower was disgusting. The flooring of the shower appeared so dirty and gray, although I am sure it was just stained. In the corners of the shower there was just the appearance of grime. They have bottles of shampoo, conditioner, and body gel mounted on the wall and the shampoo was lying in the middle of the shower floor. We stuck it back on the wall, only to find it completely empty. Had to get out all wet to get a travel bottle out of my bag. And, of course, just as we had fallen asleep, the shampoo bottle fell off the wall again and scared the heck out of us. There was a large gash in the leather/vinyl covering of the headboard, so it just all made the room feel pretty janky. I will say this, though - all the staff we met were very friendly. And when i reported the maintenance issues to the gentleman at checkout, he was very kind and apologetic, offered my kids drinks from the snack area, and added some mileage to our Bonvoy account. I appreciated all that, but i would not stay here again.
