The Tremont House

Just and overnight waiting to get on a cruise with Grandkids. It worked well for us.

Was talked into switching room from 2 Queens to a King to allow a family of 4 to have our original room Was told that the room would be bigger. At the same cost as the 2 bed room. However the room was smaller , and was sharing the wall with the elevator. Each time the elevator went up or down our room experienced the noise and vibration. All day, all night long! Would not go back to the Tremont. Next time the Grand Galvez !

We stayed the night in Galveston so we could catch our cruise the following morning. The hotel was really nice, pretty clean and slept very comfortably. The location is great and in the heart of historic Galveston. I'd definitely stay again and treat my family to a nice hotel for a weekend getaway.

We were so impressed with the Treemont hotel! Rooms were clean and comfortable. We found the staff to be very helpful and welcoming. The hotel lobby bar made for a nice place to gather with family and friends!

The renovations at this hotel are just beautiful. Our junior suite was huge and fabulous. Bed was comfortable and overall ambience of the hotel is really cool. My only suggestions would be (1) better lighting at the sink/mirror in the bathroom for makeup application - I had to go in the bedroom in front of a window to put my makeup on, (2) would have loved a shower cap. The staff was all beyond friendly and helpful, and the breakfast sandwiches we had one morning were fresh and delicious. We couldn’t go to the rooftop bar because it is being renovated right now - definitely recommend this hotel and I would stay here again.

My wife and I went for a get away weekend. Staff was friendly and professional. Room was excellent, awesome bed slept great. I will recommend the Tremont to friends and family.

We love staying at the Tremont. It is usually our 1st choice for a trip to Galveston. The hotel is under major renovations, but our room was in excellent condition. A few touches were not in the “era” of decor, but there were signs posted that items were delayed in shipment and were temporary (lamps, shelving, etc). The restaurant offers breakfast-dinner and the roof top bar is usually open starting at 12. I was able to bring my kids up for an appetizer before it became 21+ at 8pm. There is no pool, but I personally am in Galveston to visit the beach. The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance to shopping & dining. You can usually find live music or an art on the weekends.
