Best Western Plus Seawall Inn & Suites By The Beach

Requested Upper Floor, got first floor and the room smelt terribly of mildew, which my child is allergic and I did inform the front desk which stated they would let manager know but nothing was done. breakfast was at 6:30 but the sausage and eggs were not done until close to 7:00. check in took 35 minutes waiting in line and I was told 4:00 was check in, then I watched them hand another couple a card for their room to check into very disappointing

The Staff went out of their way to make sure our family was well taken care of. Above and beyond. Highly recommended.

Unique and personal. Check-in was five minutes or less. A long-term employee remembered my family from four years past. Warm friendly service.

Wonderful check in experience. No problems. Had just left LaQuinta because they had cancelled our reservation. They couldn't say why, but I think it had to do with overbooking due to buses of kids. Bad experience turned great with wonderful employee at this hotel.

So my family booked this place based on the reviews. Not sure who’s writing the reviews but they are completely wrong, this place is a dump. If you like nasty, then stay here

Let me preface this by saying that the staff at this hotel is awesome. Very friendly and nice, ready to help, all the good things. I happily gave them five stars without hesitation. Now, on to the rest of the review. While I wouldn't call it delapidated or dirty by any stretch, there were a few minor things that could have used some repair/replacement, like the desk chair in our room that had glitter nail polish all over it and a hole in the back mesh, or the door of the refrigerator cabinet that hung lopsided and squealed like a piglet everytime we opened it. And, I'll admit that the one tiny elevator to service the entire hotel was a little inconvenient. Again, minor things. The major problem we had was the noise. The walls are apparently paper thin and the floors evidently don't have much padding under the carpets. We had to deal with what I can only assume was a child jumping up and down on the floor above us after midnight when we were trying to sleep, our neighbor banging on the wall at every turn, nevermind the conversations (which weren't loud, the walls are just thin). We could hear a television, being watched at a perfectly reasonable volume, from three doors down. It's not the best western, not the worst western. It's the okay western.

I initially liked the room because I had just checked out of a very smelly motel, this hotel was much better but after awhile there was a damp smell that most hotels by the beach have, The pool was small, it seemed crowded so we didn’t use the pool. The room itself was clean, beds were comfortable and there was mini fridge and microwave which was convenient. The free breakfast was ok, eggs were salty but there was a variety of hot and cold options. The staff was ok, (the cleaning staff was especially nice) but there was an argument between staff and management which seemed a bit strange one morning. Otherwise the staff was ok. On our last night, young teen girls or young women were running down the hallways laughing for several hours until around 2:30. I should’ve complained to front desk but felt too tired that night, otherwise the rooms were quiet. I stayed with family and felt safe in the hotel and neighborhood which was close to Stewart beach. Overall it was a good value for the price I paid.

The place was clean and quiet. My family enjoyed our stay here. Will definitely go back.

The hotel always smells clean. My kids enjoyed the breakfast and the pool.

The initial check-in was great. We received a call around 8 pm saying we were too loud. We thought nothing of it and sent the kids to bed early. At about 5:30 am we got a knock on our door saying we were being too loud. After explaining to the employee we haven't been doing anything and just got up to use the restroom, he proceeded to tell our family we needed to "step lighter" in the room. About ten minutes later the same employee showed up with the guests from the room below. They advised that it was very loud in their room. I explained we have not been walking loudly and told our children to tiptoe so they would not be loud. We thought it had to be the poor construction of the floors. I then invited them into our room to walk around while the guest below us called his wife to verify the noise level. Our family remained still in the room while the guest and hotel employee walked around. The wife in the room below advised that it was still extremely loud, and the guest told her it was just him and the employee walking confirming that our family was not being loud but rather it was the acoustics of the floor and poor construction. The guest was extremely apologetic for complaining. We exchanged numbers to file a formal complaint. The hotel staff member was unapologetic for accusing our family of being loud and bothering our family on three different occasions. Our family immediately checked out due to feeling uncomfortable.
