You need to add outside seating in a smoking area and a can to dispose of the cigerette butts.
For personal safety there should be non skid items in the bath tubs.
The floors all felt like the were mopped in oil also making it feel like a safety hazard.

My family and I had a great stay here. The indoor pool and spa were big, we enjoyed the lemon water and cookies when we checked in and the breakfast was great!

Only 1 problem. Doors are very loud.
Kids were going in and out and running down hall. Doors are heavy and make loud noise when closed. I woke up several times from it. Up to midnight when kids finally stopped. Bad parents was main problem, Older building so even the running was loud.

My daughter, her two preschool children, and I loved the pool and hot tub! It was a great way to burn off some energy after being in the car for a long while. The pool area was very clean and well kept. Our room was also great. We liked the mini-fridge, the microwave, and having access to two sinks.

TLDR: Disappointed, do not recommend. Many hotels in Amarillo do not rent to "locals"
I was extremely disappointed with the Comfort Inn in Amarillo. My husband & I were refused lodging because we are from the Panhandle area. Apparently, several hotels in Amarillo will not rent to "locals"
My husband & I do not live in Amarillo, but we visit frequently because both our families live there. We move every 2-4 years as part of my work so we have kept our permanent addresses the same, which are in the Panhandle area.
Despite explaining this to the front desk staff at the Comfort Inn as well as showing other government documentation that listed our current non-Panhandle address, we were still refused lodging.
I am extremely disappointed with the hotels in Amarillo, especially the Comfort Inn, who cannot make exceptions to this absurd "no locals" policy when we have clear documentation proving that we do not actually live in Amarillo.
Expedia made it easy for us to quickly cancel the reservation and get refunded. However, I wish Expedia would more clearly document the fact that the hotel did not rent to "locals". I saw that they have this documented in the "Important Information" section but finding that information took some searching - I certainly was not aware of it when I made the reservation.

Older facility, but well maintained. Our family of 4 enjoyed the room space and the pool area. Breakfast was a typical free breakfast. Would stay again.

Both suites had funky odors in them. The kids room smelled like urine and mold. Our room smelled like wet dog. We ended up using the stairs to get to our 3rd story room because the elevator felt unsafe. It would groan and shutter everytime we used it(we are not large, heavy people). The hotel needs a major remodel!
