Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Amarillo West, an IHG Hotel

Looks like a new building, but not well built. Could literally hear others conversations through the bathroom vent. Dogs barking, kids running around and people slamming doors until midnight. Already needs new mattresses. Decent typical hot breakfast. Clean facility.

Clean, comfortable and friendly staff. Essential that they allow dogs because we are traveling with our fur babies. Perfect stop for our road trip

The walls are thin and I could hear the family in the room next door. Bed was extremely comfortable, so I did fall asleep rather quickly. Would definitely recommend.

Very convenient for a one night stay with the family on the way to Colorado. We enjoyed the breakfast too!

My family and our pets had to evacuate our home due to wildfires, our entire town and surrounding towns did too. Every hotel in the city was booked and extremely busy! The front desk clerk was quick and friendly and I was extremely appreciative of her customer service during such a wild time.

Was staying on second floor, on the third floor directly above us kids or animals were running around and stomping for over 3 hours from 7pm till around 10:30 pm, my Kiddos couldn’t sleep well and neither could my self and my significant other. Called in for a noise complaint and I’m guessing it worked but the next morning around 5:30 am the same loud and obnoxious stomping and running woke us all up and continued till we decide to check out…

From the time we got there until the time we left everything was great! I wish I could remember the name of the girl at the front desk when we arrived but she was excellent!! I forgot the mini bassinet for the baby, I called and asked if they happen to have a play pen and she said they had a crib!! LIFE SAVER! Brought it to the room showed me how to set it up!

Remodel with lots of dust, people mopping under your feet, some noise from workers. Elevator required a room key every time you entered. You really should consider not putting people on top of each other! Single travelers don’t want to be next to someone with 5 kids or screaming babies who wake up at 5 am!!! Seriously, spread people out accordingly… You have several floors obviously so use your discretion when selecting rooms for your guests.

My stay was wonderful. I booked 4 rooms for a family vacation. We stayed here in the way back from Colorado to San Antonio. The place smelled wonderful and the rooms were gorgeous. The beds were the most comfortable I’ve had in any hotel and the sheets were cool and soft. The breakfast was delicious. So many options and all good. The check in counter staff was amazing.

It was under renovation in Dec 2023. Hot tub was not available. Pretty bummed because that was one of the reasons we picked this place. But were given no heads up that it was under renovation. Would have probably picked the Drurry across the street. Also—we got in late with kids so didn’t want to worry with changing hotels or even rooms. But the bathroom had so many hairs in the tub that we’re not ours… shorter hairs… short curly hairs. So gross. And the biggest thing was there was HARD CANDY (like mini jawbreakers) on the flooor that my one year old found. Multiple. Just disappointed with Holiday Inn Express and likely won’t pick them anywhere again. They moved all their toiletries to Dove so it feels like lotion in your hair. Not a fan of Dove. I did love the beds and they were clean and pillows always great. Staff was nice. Just not impressed with this visit at all.
