The Park Vista - a DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel - Gatlinburg

The views were amazing, the warm cookies at check in and check out were a nice touch but it did not fix the fact that the hotel needs serious updating and repairs for it to be a true 4 star hotel. First off, I found someone's eye mask at the bottom of the bed so I am questioning if the bedding was even changed before we arrive. The surfaces of the counter tops and night stand were dusty so I wiped down everything with disinfecting wipes. The shower had a broken soap bottle in the tub and when I picked it up there was a dirty shoe print underneath it. I cleaned that with a disinfecting wipe. The wood furniture had major scratches all over it. A little sanding and stain would fix this. The carpet was outdated in color and look as well as the drapes. I didn't ask for a room change because my family and I were too tired after a long day of travel and we liked the view out our window. I would call this hotel a 3 star at best. However, I have to say the restaurant in the lobby was clean, had amazing views, service was fast, the food was good and the male server was amazing. The Creme Brule is the only thing I would say, stay away from. It came in a small metal tin and had sugar on top that was put there way before it was served. Not even close to true Creme Brule.

Love the location. It's close to everything, yet not in the middle of the crowd. The kids loved the pool with the slide. The only thing I’d suggest is for management to pay attention to and improve the room cleaning service.

I love coming to Gatlinburg and this hotel has made it that much more enjoyable. My kids absolutely loved the pool and the view. We’ll definitely be returning.

This was the perfect place for our family vacation. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

The staff is so accommodating and friendly! Yummy cookies! The kids had a blast in the pool and slide! We enjoyed the balcony views! Loved seeing the bears around the property! Thank you for a great stay! Family vacation from Houston, TX. 2024!!

Amazing. The hotel has a pool with water slide inside for kids. Views are good of the mountains around and bears frequent the parking lot. Keep up the good work!

My only real complaint was the restaurant options at the hotel lacked a diverse menu and also had limited meal options for kids. I would have also liked for there to have been chairs on the balcony so that you can actually sit on the balcony and enjoy the view. But the hotel itself was great and the pool was a huge bonus for the kids. I also appreciated the option of a free trolley around Gatlinburg.

The hotel was very nice, location was amazing. My kids loved the pool! The only complaint I have is that the beds were super uncomfortable.

This place was great. Unlike other hotels, this place actually provides REAL pillows, not the baby pillows. The restaurant in the hotel had a great breakfast buffet and their dinner was amazing. The only thing that could have been "better " was the pool, it needed to be vacuumed a little better.
