The Park Vista - a DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel - Gatlinburg

The views were amazing, the warm cookies at check in and check out were a nice touch but it did not fix the fact that the hotel needs serious updating and repairs for it to be a true 4 star hotel. First off, I found someone's eye mask at the bottom of the bed so I am questioning if the bedding was even changed before we arrive. The surfaces of the counter tops and night stand were dusty so I wiped down everything with disinfecting wipes. The shower had a broken soap bottle in the tub and when I picked it up there was a dirty shoe print underneath it. I cleaned that with a disinfecting wipe. The wood furniture had major scratches all over it. A little sanding and stain would fix this. The carpet was outdated in color and look as well as the drapes. I didn't ask for a room change because my family and I were too tired after a long day of travel and we liked the view out our window. I would call this hotel a 3 star at best. However, I have to say the restaurant in the lobby was clean, had amazing views, service was fast, the food was good and the male server was amazing. The Creme Brule is the only thing I would say, stay away from. It came in a small metal tin and had sugar on top that was put there way before it was served. Not even close to true Creme Brule.

Love the location. It's close to everything, yet not in the middle of the crowd. The kids loved the pool with the slide. The only thing I’d suggest is for management to pay attention to and improve the room cleaning service.

This was the perfect place for our family vacation. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

The hotel was very nice, location was amazing. My kids loved the pool! The only complaint I have is that the beds were super uncomfortable.

Nice facilities. Pool area was a hit with families. Hotel is located on top of a large hill so not walkable to/from town. But there is a convenient shuttle service. Beware of the bears nearby. It’s no joke - they wander the parking lot sniffing for food in the cars.

We really enjoyed our stay. The kids couldn’t wait to get to the pool everyday. The only thing I have to say about the pool area is that it is way too hot in there. My kids still need supervision and I couldn’t stay long because of how hot it was. Maybe just cool it off a little in there.

Great hotel and great views!! Clean and awesome elevators and pool area! A baby bear was walking around outside!!

Loved the pool and elevators and family suite. Food at restaurant was just ok. Like the unique location but also that was problematic when trying to get into town, should be more info about the trolley at the front desk. Loved that we could bring our dog.
