Best Western Plus Spartanburg

After a 24 hour ED shift and an unexpected emergency 6 hour drive to SC (due to a death in the family) I arrived at 1230am only to be met with staff who would not waive the additional $50 deposit that was not clearly presented at the time of my “made en route” online reservation via Expedia. I didn’t have my back up credit card with me as I left VA in a rush to get to SC. I’m very disappointed and absolutely will not be staying here again.

Other stays have been great. 2nd night of this one was terrible. Was awoken about midnight by a man looking/sounding like he was trying to break into the room across the hall, it was incredibly loud and terrifying. He was called away by some woman by the elevators who said something I couldn’t hear. Even a baby down the hall had started crying from the ruckus. I called the front desk, and the man from the hallway answered. I said “I think someone was trying to get into the room across the hall from me,” to which he said “yeah that was me.” I said that it was very loud and very late and he again just said it was him. That was it. No apology, no brief explanation, nothing. I don’t see any reason why an employee would need to attempt to force themself into a room at midnight, or if there was a valid reason then why they can’t say more when a scared customer calls to report it.

The staff was very polite. It was very clean. It didn't feel family friendly. It seemed more like a place for travel workers. I wouldn't let my teenagers roam around the property alone.

Nice, safe location with plenty of parking and easy access to hotel, parking lot, and interstate. Hotel was quiet and beds were comfy. Fridge didn’t work when we got there but staff was helpful in quickly resolving the matter. Staff was super friendly. The ladies at the front desk were awesome and helpful, and one of the house keepers stopped to interact with my kids for a minute. I booked my stay for next month as I was checking out. :)
