Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Spartanburg-North, an IHG Hotel

We visit the area every year and have stayed at many hotels there. Holiday inn & suites is by far the BEST! Weve stayed here the past few years.The staff is always friendly and helpful.They are very clean and the property is very well maintained.They also have an indoor pool and fitness center which my family loves.Breakfast is also offered and its a buffet breakfast so plenty of options.

I like how this property accommodated my wife and 4 kids at short notice however upon first arrival it was hard to ignore the sign from the local law enforcement to remove valuables from your vehicle I know the hotel can't control the crime in the area. Upon entering the lobby there was a strange unpleasant mildewy/ chemical smell. Going up to our room after seeing the sign had me worried about the security of my family I noticed several of the room doors had damage near the lock mechanism assumingly due someone trying to forcibly gain entry into the room in the past, I'm not talking a little damage you could visually see where the mechanism went into the striker plate, and the hotel just used stain to cover the wood to make it less noticable. In the room the beds had several orange stains on the comforters which made me question if the bedding had been cleaned.

Nice clean hotel. Staff were extremely nice. Had a room with king bed and pull out sofa couch for the kids. Very roomy, clean and nice.

Geoff and his staff were very friendly. Greeted my family and made our stay comfortable. Pool was great only thing that happened was it required maintenance that was out of their control. My boys did swim 2 out of 3 nights we stayed. Definitely would recommend this to other’s traveling the area.

The tub was stained tan/brown and the shower curtain had some odd stain on it. The water pressure for the shower was worse than army showers in basic training and the water temperature was even worse - it was cold all the time! There was an odd smell when we got to the room which prompted us to by air fresheners for the room. The only good thing to eat at breakfast was the gravy biscuits. The juice was watered down so much that my children thought it was water. The staff serving breakfast was extremely friendly. The parking lot was clean and check-in/out was simple. We had an issue where housekeeping did not bring us fresh towels or more toilet paper, but the front desk gave us some after waiting for quite some time for housekeeping to do it. Overall, I would not stay at this hotel again if I had to return to the area.

Killed 3 roaches in my room! Front desk service at night I did not like, the breakfast was not good didn’t have a lot of varieties for the food and the taste of the food was nasty. The only thing I liked about the room was the size of the room and like that they had an indoor pool for the kids. Other than that I did not. I didn’t have service once I got in the hotel so I tried to turn the Wi-Fi on that they have and it was weak service so didn’t have good service still inside the room. I will not be booking there again.

This facility has a wonderful staff, willing to go the extra mile as needed; friendly and always smiling!!! Thank you each for kindnesses during our stay! Improvement needed-better variety of breakfast foods-we watched a ball team of teens and younger kids struggle to find foods-only had sausage, gravy, egg-white tiny omlet and cinnamon rolls, out of bananas, oranges had to be peeled. Pancakes were a huge hit!

Front desk clerk Tom was very friendly and had our room keys ready for us when we arrived. The front lobby was clean but the elevator was very dirty. The room was probably the most spacious we have ever gotten which is a plus for our family of 6. However, there was food residue smudged on the microwave door, the Keurig was very dusty, there was hair on our nightstand and the bathroom floor had visible dirt piled in all the corners especially behind the door.

We only had 3 towels in our room for 6 people. The cafeteria was extremely small to be offering free breakfast. There was no where for my family to sit, so we left. Very disappointed!

It was a great place for us to stay instead of piling into the house with the rest of the family. We had comfortable rooms and could get coffee and breakfast before heading to the weekend events. I had two vegetarians in the group who were easily able to eat at the continental breakfast spread.
