Hampton Inn Spartanburg-North I-85

Second stay to visit with family. Convenient and accessible for my journey

I Live in the area and had to stay the night because my air conditioner went out, and I have a 10 month old baby. I was a little bit irritated that they wanted me to pay an extra $200 deposit because I live locally it seemed a bit discriminatory. I understand the logic behind it, but I also feel like it is unfair to those of us who are law abiding citizens just trying to get a room.

Tony the house person was fabulous humble and very helpful as well as the entire staff the woman and gentlemen that attended to the breakfast bar were exceptional as well checking in was a breeze and checking out as well the the staff again were exceptional! Ms. Raqhel Young and family are very grateful as the stay was for the Universal of Spartanburg North graduation ceremony!

Overall, a decent hotel. You can tell it's an older Hampton Inn that has been fixed up. It's a smaller hotel which was nice because it wasn't super crowded at breakfast time. People were nice. Location was convenient to Wofford, which is where we were going. Took 10 minutes from hotel to campus without having to go on the interstate. Price was excellent. There are a few fast food places right next door. I'd probably stay here again by myself but maybe not with the whole family.

Clean rooms, friendlynstaff, largw breakfast with many options, coffee is actually good. Aqesome waffle bar for the kids with lots of toppings. Pool was clean

I have stayed at Hampton Inn’s for over 20 years and this was the worst one I’ve ever stayed at… Don’t get me wrong the staff was great… Very helpful… Very accommodating… But the facility was run down… We walked in, and there’s staff smoking at entrance.. not one but 4.. A cloud of smoke… The towels were so old, they scratched you… And I know the staff can’t do anything about this because they’re there dealing with lack of resources. So I’m not upset at the staff… However, I have changed my view of Hampton Inn‘s… It’s hard for me to go to another one, as I can’t trust the chain any more, Like I did in the past… Vending machines didn’t work… There was one on the first floor… We went to the second third and fourth floor no vending machines… We had to go to the gas station to get candy for the kids… Breakfast was great… Really no diamond upgrade on the weekends… we got two rooms in one room smelt like awful… My wife didn’t want to move because we had adjoining rooms… Finally, my son got sick… And she moved… They gave us a new room… the staff smelled the odor as well. I don’t write reviews because I don’t want to hurt businesses but I have to protect the public. This Hampton Inn might rate as a Motel 6 or Red Roof

My family has always loved staying at the Hampton. They have always had comfortable beds. The two rooms we rented recently had the worst beds. I sure hope this is not the new standard for this hotel chain.

Very clean children enjoyed hot breakfast (waffle maker)

Hot in the hallways and elevator but other than that room was pretty clean. The pool was still closed, wish it could have been open. The children were looking forward to some water play.

Our stay here was great. My children enjoyed the pool and breakfast was excellent. I totally recommend
