This was a quick drive to area sights, good food nearby and very clean and quiet. Perfect for a stay with a larger family and they offered adjoining rooms.

I was appreciative of the staff at check in. They noticed that I was traveling with my children and chose a room on the 2nd floor without me even asking. Kids love elevators! This gesture set thr tone for our stay. It's the little things that always leave the largest imprint. ✨️

Our room & bathroom was very clean, and I am truly a very critical person. Our beds & bedding were not only clean but very comfortable. We had plenty of space for our family of 4 and our bathroom was HUGE with a big walk-in shower and separate tub. I only have 2 things for constructive feedback. The first is the bathroom needs additional shelving, hooks and/or towel bars. There was not enough space for all our toiletries, make-up, etc and no where to hang towels to dry. The second thing is the housekeeping crew were a little too "on-top" of things. The first 2 mornings, they came knocking on the door before we were finished getting ready or out for the day. Each morning was earlier than the one before. So, we finally put the Do Not Disturb sign out. I appreciated their willingness to do their jobs & to meet our needs, but have never experienced that in a hotel while on vacation. I felt like 9:00am was too early to check our rooms if it wasn't on a day we were checking out.

My family and I were very delayed on a flight to Myrtle Beach, which was eventually cancelled and in an effort to get closer to home, we changed flight to Charleston. Flight was also delayed and we arrived late. Amanda at the front desk was super helpful even in the late evening/early morning hours as we tried to book a room. Amanda was super nice, welcomed us even at 2am, helped us with not having luggage or toiletries and did everything she could to make us comfortable. Our 10yr old daughter was very unhappy and Amanda really helped us and we could not be more appreciative. You have some great staff there to top the great property - very clean, well maintained property. Would certainly stay again in the future. Thanks so much!

We stayed 4 days for a wedding. It was very comfortable. The restaurant on site was convenient. We used the pool deck to hang with family and friends.

When I presented my (SC) drivers license upon check-in I was told it's hotel policy not to allow local residents to stay at the hotel... what? This is what I heard after flying in on a red-eye and driving three hours from the Charlotte airport. In my case, I recently sold my home here in Charleston and have been traveling since October; I was only returning for a doctor appointment! After providing this explanation at the front desk I was "allowed" to stay, but that's not the point. This is a terrible policy, but it should at least be vetted up front when the reservation is made; not when the guest arrives with their suitcase in hand! What is the point of this policy? I've lived in several areas of the country and have never heard of such a random-sounding policy. During my career I've hosted or attended many events at hotels, frequently staying overnight just for the convenience after a long day of meetings and group dinners, and otherwise to help maintain a sense of camaraderie among team members. I'm sure there are many other use-cases that make perfect sense for locals to stay (home repair work, wedding-related, family reunion, etc., etc). I'm curious to know the origin of this policy if you'd care to elaborate. My stay has been fine, and this seems a nice hotel that's well-suited to business-oriented activities, but I would be reluctant to recommend the hotel at this point based on this policy.

My husband and I were in the area for a construction job downtown. We ended up checking in a little after midnight and the woman at the front desk [I hate that I didn't get her name!] was very friendly, informative and lovely to talk to. She answered all questions that I had and then gave me a map to drive around to the closest entrance to our room. We booked a junior suite, which was very nice. I wish we were able to stay longer to enjoy the property to the fullest. Another plus was that there's a Cook Out within walking distance, which was a blessing since most other restaurants were closed by the time we were able to get settled after working. We will most definitely book a room here again in the future - hopefully for a longer stay!!
