This place has bed bugs!!! We all got very badly bitten. So angry!. We have travelled alot and never ever had bedbugs now this has ruined how we look at travelling. I really dont know how this place was reviewed so well. Alot of things were broken or in disrepair. The shower was lukewarm at best, the shower pressure was terrible and there is NO full size bathroom. The sink is in the room. Very very small for a family of 4.

From checking in to checking out, it was easy, relaxed, delicious breakfast. Clean pool area. Pet friendly. Grassy area's with dog friendly poop station that was extremely clean and convenient. This is only 2 miles from the Ashley River on Highway 17. It is the closest place to stay near Charleston. No parking fees. Clean fresh linen. Soft pillows. I was very impressed by this hotel. It was perfect for us and our family.

We were on the second floor at check in.. my husband noticed when he took his shoes off that the entire floor/ carpet was damp( gross enough;) when he spoke to the hotel desk staff they offered other rooms.. t that he inspected and said each of them he em was no better and had a mold odor. So we stayed the first night in our original room .. but the next morning my $150 running shoes were soaked ;(( they had been stored by the sink which apparently had a leak no one mentioned?? Thst afternoon we did move rooms to the third floor which average but so inconvenient with two kids and all our stuff;( tgg he e hotel staff on the second day were very sweet and apologetic! Still this is the second time I have stayed there in a month since I’m working for the College…. I like the location but the facilities are cheap and a little dirty;(

Staff was the best part! They were accommodating, allowed early check in, unexpectedly gave my kiddos popsicles, and overall friendly. The room was basic and addressed our needs.

We had a wonderful stay! Location was great! Our first room had a problem so they immediately called maintenance and got us a new room by the time we go back from sightseeing. It was my son’s birthday and all the workers were so kind and wished him a happy birthday! The pool Was the kids favorite part. Large pool with a 10ft deep end. The manger even came out with popsicles one afternoon for everyone. We’ll definitely be staying here again when we come back.

Whenever my family visits Charleston we stay at the Sleep Inn at West Ashely. Its an affordable, clean, and comfortable option for us.
