Our stay could not have been better. From the valet parking service to check in to our actual room, all things were wonderful. My family and I were greeted warmly when we pulled up to park and when we got to the front desk. Mateo at the front desk gave us all the information we needed about the hotel. Then concierge Ivan for great activities and restaurants in the area. Mera and Crystal at the from desk were always accommodating regarding our pull out sofa, breakfast, etc. The bar is comfortable and charming. Would stay here again and again.

Lobby was under construction which was not noted on the website but on an email I received the night before I was traveling there. I would have never spent that kind of money for two nights had I known this. Meeting friends and family and had to meet them in the rain outside because no where to go. Elevators were a nightmare. I'm upset I spent so much money for this hotel. Next time I will do research on my own and book on my own directly.

I have been staying at this hotel regularly since 2018 and it just keeps going downhill. I booked 2 rooms for my young family and arrived at 2:30pm to be told neither room was ready. After pushing back with the manager , they told me one room was in fact ready. Clearly a room in our category was already prepared so not sure why they would not give it to us on arrival l, especially given we have been great customers over the years. Other room (our suite) was not ready until 5pm. Rooms are not very clean and degrading fast, despite recent (cheap) renovation). Breakfast was included in our rate was appalling. Everyone on buffet empty and not refilled despite me asking several times. A couple of hairs on fruit plate. Will not be staying here again m, which is a shame as well located and has been a good central hotel for many years

The Sofitel was well located for daytime walks around Center City and meeting up with friends and family. and it's close to so many restaurants and amenities. The cleaning staff was terrific snd it's clear that the the folks on staff are working hard to make guests stay a good one. The manager at the bar, for example took my feedback with a smile when I offered a concern about a staff member. The hotel can seem a little understaffed downstairs, it was frustrating to come back and discover there was no where to eat or drink within the hotel, even as a guest at 10 pm and the bartender and valet guys weren't offering much advice on alternatives. A heads-up that there is no shuttle from the airport, however, it's pretty easy to take the train from the airport to Suburban Station, and much less expensive - in the daytime and good weather. Overall the rooms are wonderful and well tended too. Clean and with mini bars (though I did wish the surprise of a "resort fee" would apply to that, but to be fair there may be some rules around it.

AMAZING! Great experience from start to end. Location is on point. Hotel is modern, fresh and luxurious. Staff is fantastic and all of our needs were met. Will definitely stay here again. One note: if traveling with kids, restaurant menu is pretty sophisticated - you may find better options at local restaurants.

Caroline greeted us and checked us in quickly. We were given a suite. The room layout was spacious and quiet. The suite had a European charm. The bed was comfortable. I did appreciate that there was no plastic bags in the room. The conscious effort to adhere to an ecofriendly policy was appreciated. The coffee machine had pods but did not have sugar or creamers. At one point water leaked all over the table. I am not sure why. The hotel looks old and tired. I think a new coat of paint will go along way. We will recommend to family and friends. We did get a chance to visit the bar but not the restaurant or gym. The bellmen were polite and efficient moving us up to our room and when departing for home.

Our stay at the Sofitel was one of my family’s most memorable experiences. The room was clean and the overall appearance of our suite was modern and comfortable. Customer service was made exceptional thanks to Charles, who worked bell hop like I’ve never seen. Not only was he attentive to multiple guests’ needs, his consideration and thoughtfulness made us feel like we were his only priority. The front desk attendants were also very pleasant and helpful in correcting a credit on my charge card with promptness upon check out. Will be back!

The hotel itself was very clean, very comfortable, and great location. We had a hard time checking in, they had to run our card multiple times which in turn put a hold on our card and even after a phone call that our room was ready, when we went back to check in she said they misplaced our reservation and we waited a long time. The day after we got there I received a phone call while out with family and was informed our room was still occupied and that check out was at 12pm, I told them we had a 2 night reservation and were not checking out. After a few minutes, she was able to see it was a mistake on their end but super embarrassing for me, especially in front of family. They did comp a night of valet and our breakfast but it really did not feel like enough. Especially the nightmare we had checking in and then the phone call asking why our stuff was still in our room. The supervisor was nice but I feel like a night should of been comped. It made our first day in Philly not so enjoyable after having to call our card company and sit on hold in the middle of our vacation to take the hold off our credit card and then the call about our room, it just felt so unorganized. Not a good experience but the hotel itself was great and the valet staff was so nice and friendly, it made up for the incompetency at the front desk.

Sad to say the Sofitel Philly has gone down hill. It used to be my husband and I’d favorite staycation splurge. Many areas, including the gym specifically, are in need of a facelift and new equipment. We had a 1br suite and on arrival asked if linens for sofa bed could be brought up. 4hrs later had to call again as nothing was brought. The next morning (Thanksgiving) I could hear housekeeping walking down the hall banging on doors at 8:21am and yelling “you need anything?) and when she arrived at our just walked in for some reason. This of course woke my children up (just great). Since when does housekeeping come at 8am? Then later, after watching the parade, my husband asked if there was a microwave anywhere so we could heat up our coffee and breakfast. He was told they would bring it to the room, umm ok?? But alas, again after 45 min he had to call again and wait another 20min for it to be brought. Mind you the hotel was very empty on these two nights. Also $59 for Parking is outrageous!!! Of course great location, but there are better options now.

Staff were great. We were given a pack and play for my baby to sleep and a little fridge to keep her food.
