1715 on Rittenhouse A Boutique Hotel

Hotel is in a great location. A great launching point wherever you may go. We are a family of 5 and the Armond room, with its multiple levels and spiral staircase was not only hip, but really spacious and practical. The pillows could be better but overall the stay was great and wouldn't hesitate to return.

Greeted by a friendly, helpful staff member. Adorable lodgings but difficult to directly access due to one-way streets - no elevator access to our room so be able to walk up two flights of steep older stairs. We were offered help to bring luggage up the stairs. There is no on-site family friendly restaurant, 21 - and older only. Breakfast was simple but efficient, lox and fresh bagels were a treat. Cleanliness not very evident, could be related to age of building. Hot water to our third floor room was several minutes to arrive, difficult to regulate consistent water temperature once it did. Rain shower head was very nice, bathroom was small but very modern and complete. No typical amenities offered, I.e. ice or vending. Bed comfortable. Small grocery market just a block away for snacks and staples, but no in-room fridge (although one was offered to be delivered to room during check-in) or microwave. Pennsylvania blue laws make taking a glass of wine from bar to room impossible and no liquor store nearby/walking distance so bring your wine and corkscrew with you and be prepared to carry it up the stairs when you do. Overall, charming. Enjoyment would depend entirely upon personal level of comfort and ease in an older, historic building. We had to wheel our suitcase from nearest street to hotel entrance upon arrival and departure when taking an Uber so another reason not to pack a suitcase too heavily, or carry too many parcels/packages.

I adore this hotel and will stay here every time I visit my family in Philly. I love the serene, one of a kind rooms (I peeked at others), the quiet lobby and entrance just off of Rittenhouse Square. The staff kindly provided me with an electric kettle. Plush bathrobes, lovely products, and the perk of a phone, watch, headphone dock right next to the bed.
