Home2 Suites by Hilton Wilkes-Barre

Wow, our stay was absolutely incredible! The hotel and rooms were immaculate, and the staff was so friendly to my kids. We were lucky enough to get a room with a breathtaking view of the valley. My whole family had a blast, and it was exactly what I was hoping for!

We go a room while on the road late with the family - 5 of us. Picked hotel because of the 9+ rating so paid a bit more than other ones. Came into the suite with very heavy perfume smell, had to air out, the TV did not work, figured it out that it was an unplugged cable. The toilet had a large “poop” in it plus it was on the sides of toilet still. Had less than half a roll of toilet paper. The shower was not cleaned and dirty. Took shower on top of a small towel. There was also only 1 large towel for all of us to dry off with. The kitchen sink then sprayed water out of the back all over the wall. It was late so we slept and left. Told person on duty, said they could not refund because it was hotels.com.. they are suppose to send me points, we will see, just a bad experience.

It’s new and modern. The staff are friendly and polite. We had fun staying fir an overnight with family. Thank you.

Hotel was noisy. Heard next door peoples entire conversations including yelling at crying child after 10pm. When we first arrived the room strongly smelled of cigarette smoke despite being on a non smoking floor. We were fortunate to get a new room and staff was responsive. The bed was not comfortable and the pillows were flat. Thermostat on unit says to use the wall device but that has no power. Unable to control air correctly, ranged from temp being 62-74 with either constant hot or cold air. For being what I thought the newest in the area, already wear and tear on room. Things not wiped clean and the bathroom sink left water all over the counter surround. The noise and pillows alone were enough for me to not return.

It was fine for our weekend celebration with family. The hotel is newer and quite modern in a town where everything is at your reach. If I had one negative it would be regarding daily housekeeping service or lack of. Our room(s) did not receive housekeeping for our entire 3 night stay. We had to ask for towels and empty our own trash. For a Hilton property this isn’t acceptable.

The room had everything we needed or options to get what was missing. The area with the curtains and the privacy curtain was a huge feature for us because of our kids. We will be looking to make future bookings with Home2 Suites from now on. Thank you so much
